Going for a Walkabout

“No matter the season, it would be treason, or something similar to not get out there in nature” Gun Roswell

Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall
Never a moment too bad for a stroll
Do not the weather use
As a poor, poor excuse
Unpack your wellingtons
Unhide your dancing shoes
Into to the wide world venture
Whether walking, running or dancing
Might even do a little prancing
Your life soon a great adventure

In Winter’s Shadow

“The spring sun, came out for some fun and brought up, tall shadows” Gun Roswell

As the spring time approaches
It’s time to dim down the torches
The sun getting so high
Up in the bright blue sky
It is so unusual and unexpected
Almost as if everyone somehow neglected
Is the brightness and lightness of it all
Because ever since the time of fall
Darkness was all these creatures would know
But now, as the warmth and sunshine descends
Over the land, minds and souls start to reflect
All those happy thoughts one could do
When the nature and mankind alike
Start their journey out of the blue
Stepping into the now blinding light
Shedding their winter gear just out of spite
For, spring, followed by summer
Can never be, a total down letting bummer

Somewhere out there, across the Horizon

“Sitting on the beach, dreaming of lands beyond the sea, new places and people to see… oh well, some day, out there I’ll find what I seek.” Gun Roswell

Laying on the soft sand
Staring into the horizon
Dreaming of a foreign land
Will I find something grand?
Is there a greater plan?
But, too lazy to leave this strand
So, at least I will get a tan

Rough Terrain Ahead

“Sometimes, hiking can be fun, but when the going gets too rough, well, it’s time for a break!” Gun Roswell

With my trusted hiking boots
I’m on a trek to find my roots
All that is missing, is some juice
But no time to loose
Just follow the goose
Surely, he’ll the right path choose
Which will lead to the moose
Who will treat you to some mousse

Under the Tall Palm Tree

“There is plenty to do, in the shade on a warm day, sitting under the cooling tree, sipping, on some ice tea.” Gun Roswell

Under the palm tree
Down by the sea
My sweetheart and I
Are…
Enjoying some tea

Petrified as Lava

“It’s historical, from a long time ago, the frozen fire, now feeling no dire.” Gun Roswell

Naturally occurring
A mastery of engineering
Courtesy of Mother Nature
A rock formation of enduring

Brighter than Yellow?

“Can something be more brighter than the colour of the sun, the yellow, just for fun?” Gun Roswell

Green and yellow
Shouting out a hello
Juicy like a jello

The flower of spring
Joyously it will sing
And the colours forth bring

Yellow? It’s quite pretty!

“Something about the colour yellow makes one smile, to forget the vile, and just inhale the scent of spring for a little while.”

“Take a little one step, two step, three step
Then a little spin like this”

The spring is almost here
Snow all but disappeared
Dots of yellow sprinkled around
Soon enough, multiple other colours
Will fill the ground

The Poolside is so Divine

“Digging up some of the old stuff, mainly pictures from the travels past, as you all now know, that all, is kinda in the past, the travelling part that is, because of, well you know… but one can dream, right?“ Gun Roswell

The cool and blue, and that is the truth as the sun is scorching, so the best place for loitering, really is, inside the cool waters. Digging in there, never coming up, except for a huff and puff, and right back in, diving. Pretending to swim, but really, what I am doing, is letting my old tired body, sink into the balm of that which is, the calming blue water.

An alien construct perhaps?

“The unicoloured monochromatic construct reaching for the dark skies… could this be built by ancient aliens or simply futuristic humans?“ Gun Roswell

Touching the sky, ever so lightly, and perhaps because of that it is radiating the brightest of lights, even with the material concrete, but it is no more or no less illuminating, reflecting ever so softly, all that pretty light from the above skies.

Some say, it was built by ancients from the very past, built so it would last the testament of time, while others claim in one loud chime, that it just popped up there only yesterday like child’s play, but it does not really matter when or whom it was which structured the building, not painted or guilds, as it certainly is a beacon for us all, standing ever so tall.

So, what remains for us mere mortals to do, is to simply look up and this construct adore, give it the adoration it deserves and bask, bask away in the guiding light as it all blurs, into the surrounding neighbourhood.
