Faded Footprints, David Bowie, In Memoriam

David Bowie: In Memoriam

DB

“Don’t tell me the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon”

Faded Footprints

footprints1

Just a few faded footprints
Left behind on the ground
Think of them as blueprints
To vision and sound

Living in the presence
For time is of the essence
But follow them I must
Before they fade into dust

Full moon tonight
Shining, ever so bright
Hanging over suburbia
Fair warning for slight
Hysteria

“Oh Gravity, Thou Art a Heartless Bitch” – Sheldon Cooper – The Big Bang Theory

Weightless, Two

Gliding across the skies
Between the clouds she flies
Sometimes out loud she cries
But up there, no one hears
Of her fears

The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge: Weightless

Some of the things that always remind me of gravity include (but are certainly not limited to):
* Dancing all night long after the age of 30.
* Carrying a human baby for more than three minutes.
* News of a plane crash right before I embark on a trip (because that’s when all planes crash).
* Putting on skis for the first time in a couple of years.
* Building blocks. Especially building blocks.

Weightless, One

Wings spread to the widest
When on the wind she rides
Feelings of being fearless
When up in the air she is,
Weightless

Sunday, One

Soft snowflakes falling down to the ground
Like confetti thrown on a celebrating crowd
Covering everything in a white shroud
Looking like the skies fluffiest clouds
Enjoying the scenic vision feeling proud
Before the snowy blanket gets ploughed

A Seat fit for a Queen

A royal chair look-alike
A regular seat in disguise
A very clever ploy
For this seatly decoy

“Remember, as far as everyone knows, we are a nice, normal family!”

Family

Family you are born to
Family you can make
They may not always be what you want
But be sure to give them a break

“I look like the man in the moon” Martin Freeman

Daylight Moon (Daily Photo 2016-01-09)

The cloudless blue evening sky
Bringing the moon out from its hide
Painted neatly into the landscape
With a uncompleted crescent shape

The eternal battle
Closer to a haggle
Between moon and sun
Had once more begun
