Ride a Tram along the Shopping Street

“In the middle of the small city, it can get quite giddy, not knowing where to go, and just wanting to talk it slow, then ride a tram!“ Gun Roswell

Ride a Tram along the Shopping Street

When travelling, you always want to see everything, at least the important sights, the monuments, bars and restaurants and if there is time, or then you simply make it, shopping for the local produce. But all these activities, are draining at best, even if you try to keep up with the rest, the fatigue sets in, at some point and not even the most strongest of coffees, will be able to keep you on your feet. So, before you want to hit those busy streets again, maybe, have a break and then, try some other mode of transport, rather than torturing those feet now sore. The answer is right there in front of you, as maybe you had made a not of those rails all over the place. Well, you are in luck and those are actually in use by the tram running on them. Do take a hint of my long drawn suggestion and take a ride on the bus on rails or tram without wheels and enjoy a less stress filled trip around the city, checking out all sights you might not otherwise have the time to see. Only, you will never need to leave your seat! How cool is that?

A day of leisure by the seashore

“Some travel memories, you’ll never forget, those spent by the calming blue seas“ Gun Roswell

A day of leisure by the seashore

The day filled with sunshine, ever since dawn, skies so blue, painted in several hues, hanging above the seas for eternity, the few fluffy clouds making some change to the otherwise blue canvas, but I am not laying the blame as Mother Nature did a great job again today. It’s a picture perfect scene at best, and I may be adding my own little memory twist here, but those random images found in the desk, were totally taking me back to a time, when mostly, the world was just fine and taking a holiday to a faraway land so different from your own, was something of the divine. And nothing could wipe out that big smile off of my face, while staying in that place.

But, the most important thing of this epiphany is, that I usually am at my most happiest, while staying by the sea, the ocean, even a lake, or maybe, a small pond. Water, being the operative word here, the calming balm created by nature for your pleasure. I love to swim, or then, simply to sit on the shore and stare at the waves without much of a bore, until the setting sun, is giving me a spectacle worth the wait, not to leave with the rest of them after a day spent on the sandy beach. No, not me, as I plan to spend the whole night, watching the stars so bright, enjoying it all to the fullest, after all, rest of the life might be at its dullest, but as I look at the pictures, my mind takes the trip, back onto that sunny beach. And who knows, maybe I will be back there next year!

Land Ahoy!

“The gorgeous landscapes of the Earth I so love, as I view them from above, on an airplane wing, where I sit, in silence and awe“ Gun Roswell

Land Ahoy!

Sitting, on the wing, of a vessel, steering gently across the clouds, which softly shroud the skies above the lands, of this planet we call Earth. This was the so-called birth, of my adventure to seek out, the perfect spot, where I could lay claim, as the aim, was to build, a small lodge, where I could dwell. At least, that was the plan and the best reason for this expedition. Then again, I love watching the skies, not matter where I dwell or lie, so all and all, even if I would never find that perfect spot, or finding too many of them, which would most likely be the dent, in my whole plan. So, as I sit and the lands scan, with my eyes, open wide, I am sold of the landscapes so totally bold, captivating my heart and soul that whatever the place is in front of me, I am total sold, of the beauty of it all and content to just sit and admire, the only desire, to never land as this is the perfect spot, sitting up here on the wing, and looking down in utter admiration, never getting bored.

Harbour Life

“Going fishing today, after all, it’s a free day, or Friday, what ever you want to call it, I am outta here!” Gun Roswell

Harbour Life

Today is the day, when I am getting myself a life, living that is, instead of existing, or at least, that is the grand plan! To be honest, this has been the plan for the past year or so, to get out my fishing gear and simply, just go, to get out there, and have some fun. Granted, fishing might not be a top choice, or even a good choice, but it would be the once for me today, as it was the last of the working days and I needed to get out of the house. And, as there was a nearby fishing village, with small boats to rend kind of cheep-ish, I knew what I was going to do on my one day off. Getting my gear together, I was soon out the door, and even if there was not going to be a big fishy score, the point was to just get out there to the shore, hop inside a dingy, and row, row, row out there, spending a day without care.

So, after a short peddle on my bike, towards the harbour now in sight, I stepped off and went to the shore, to get me some lures, the wormy kind at that, as I wanted to go all retro to the bat. Next step, was to get some snacks, as no day would be perfect without the editable as I wasn’t counting on the fish to bite. Besides, I could not very well eat them raw, sushi never being a favourite so what ever catch would have to be properly prepared, stirred, fried and what ever it took. Next step was then to rent the vessel, a small one with a miniature motor, and good looking oars, as today, was all about them chores. After the deal, was sealed, I was finally able to set sail, or rather take the paddles to my hands, and start my venture off land. What better way, to spend a free Friday!

Spending all day long, on the lulling waves just outside the shore, not daring to be too adventurous, after all, the tiny ship was hardly able to compete with the ships tall. And when the sun started setting, I was off the hooks getting, with a few fish as a reward, most likely a dinner for  tomorrow. It was time to head back home, this time using the motor as my arms were sore, all day long spent fishing, so guess that was to be expected, which was fine, I dejected as they would be worse tomorrow, after so much exercise, but hey, I wanted to live the life, so here I was, a fishing person, heading to shore after a long day spent on the waters edge, but hey, I had scored, fish being my reward of the day!

A seat in a shadowy hideout

“Seated in a hideout, in the calming shadows, away from the scorching sun. That is part of the holiday fun” Gun Roswell

A seat in a shadowy hideout

The day had been quite long with the sun shining pretty strong. Luckily, the weary traveler had found the perfect of spots to make a pit stop, a perfect one, to take some load off, the tired old feet while taking a comfy seat. It was the perfect hideaway, from the busy streets of the day, in a cool and calming shadowy place, planning there for a few moments to stay.

Without any kind of hurry on display, the traveler decided to have a moment for themselves. To enjoy a light meal, as hunger had made its feel. After all, strolling back and forth, was causing a lot of energy to be used so now, it was the best time some fuel for the body to consume.

After a somewhat lengthy break, seated in the shadows away from the sun, it was time again to get up and about, have a few more looks around and see what there was to be found. And then later on come back to this wonderful and relaxing place for some food and drinks, as this was the best one to think of to load off.

April 11th National Pet Day

The Curious Cat

“The curious cat, by the poolside sat and stared at the glimmers in the water, but did not dare to step in“ Gun Roswell

The Curious Cat

The white coloured cat, by the glimmering poolside sat, on a sunny day at that, wondering about all them white spots, which its curiosity stirred, staring so hard that its vision soon blurred. It was not daring to go chasing after them damned spots though, even if they taunted the small feline to no end. After so many moments simply glaring, it made the b-line, towards the shadowy shelter beneath the trees. After all, chasing bright white lights for a while, was a heavy duty job, and even if it had now stopped, it was difficult to concentrate on the darkness, as them glimmering lights, over on the poolside, kept calling. So, without further time stalling, the curious cat, decided to take another look, as it was totally hooked. Coming back from hiding, it tried all the bright lights to find again, but, overcast, had caused the sun to disappear and the surface of the water, was totally clear. Huffing and puffing for a moment, the cat kept on looking around, but none of the cheerful dots of lights again finding, deciding, it was time, for a well deserved nap. After all, it was hard work, chasing them spots, even, if they had all gone away now.

Archways to some new places

“Exploring the unknown, through the many open entrances, archways and other kinds of open doors” Gun Roswell

Archways to some new places

Make the choice, if you haven’t already, and do, step through, the archway of a doorway to the unknown. There is nothing more adventurous than to embrace the new, coming through, this mysterious doorway, the ancient archway, the highway, to many adventures, across the ages, so feel free, to be, quiet daring and go already! The door is closing soon, just before the turn of noon, so make it quick or you will miss this once in a lifetime opportunity. But hey, don’t take my word of this all, as you may or may not have a ball, while travelling through the means of this, mystery portal, to whatever lands or vistas your imagination may inspire, and then you will be spending your life on the wire, but then again, you could end up on some alien world, as the portal by mistake had you hurled. Never mind, just try to be kind and keep in mind, this is an adventure of all time, so embrace it all, with a fine-toothed smile, or at least, a small smirk.

Moonrise after sunset

“The moonrise, something which always makes me smile, even if I love the sunset, but then again, which is better, I cannot really decide“ Gun Roswell

Moonrise after sunset

Sometime after the sun has been setting, and itself to a state of sleep letting, the moon is slowly rising, just there, across the horizon. Its light still faint and bland, nothing compared to the suns shine so grand. But, it does not matter, as its good to dwell in the hazy light, at least, for the length of the night. Dozing off for a moment, and when sleep eludes, then best bet, is to take a glance at the moon. It will make the onlooker smile, even if it is just a crest for tonight. But when it gets to its fullest, then better watch out, as the night sky is never at the dullest. Keep staring at the moon light, at least, once a night and there will never be any doubt or fright, of your path not being lit up, what ever the time. The sun may brighten your days, but the moon will keep your nights in a low level daze, as it truly, has its own flare.

On the streets of Paris 3

“Strolling down the lane of memories once again and landed in Paris, the city of lights and spring“ Gun Roswell

On the streets of Paris 3

Whether you will want to walk the distance or take a bike or the famous metro to your designated destination, you can totally do any of them ways without hesitation. All safe and good for the environment of course and all of the methods will set you great on your course of action that is. And this is not simply to please, those climate conscious people like you and me, rather it is a fun way to stroll the streets. I am talking about walking naturally, but mostly, riding a communal and fun coloured bike, which you can rent without even a sigh. Easy as pie, as you can drive, all they long, and even getting the exercise there, with your legs getting more and more strong each pedal push you make.

Then for the lazy types, but still conscious minds, there is the ultimate way to travel, and that is underground with the metro system. Yes get down there and see it all to come unravelled in front of your very eyes, the most advanced transport for all the times. No, kidding here of course, as it is rather an old method of transport to say the least, but then again, modernised for your comfort of sorts, as it may get pretty hot in the summer months, deep down in the underground. But hey, it’s cheap and fast and fun so never mind, just get that ticket and hop on that, well, train! You can get off at any stop, visit the museums, sights and shops, it’s gay Paris after all, so go git, have a ball (that means fun time), winter, spring, summer or yeah, even fall!
