Transports for Mundane Monday (3)

Transports for Mundane Monday

Scooter

The black big thing, on the street corner there
You cannot help, but stand and stare
It is massive compared to any kind of bi wheeled moped
Are you even sure, this, thing, can be called a scooter?

Transports for Mundane Monday

Blue Car

Owned by “Katri” as it clearly states on the back of the tiny blue car
She has really taken care of this piece of technology so far
Driven it all across the country and then some
And freely admitting, she and her friends really had a lot of fun

Summer chasers

“Chasing summer to the end of the world” Gun Roswell

Summer chasers

In the middle, of the coldest of winter
When the snow storm outside, makes you shiver
Your only wish, for someone to deliver
A promise, a hope, of summers glimmer

And then, finally, after so many months of sorrow
Spring runs by, so fast, you’re wishing it had longer lasted
But the seasons are for us only to borrow
And soon enough, the long awaited summer is here, with skies so clear

The lush nature and warm breeze
Nothing but sunshine as far as you can see
But nothing is as you it imagined
The dreams quickly turning against

Record heat hitting the fans
Something no one really predicting can
Days and nights, groaning of too hot weather
Not even the waters alleviate the aching fever

Now, sitting under a tall tree
In the shadows wishing only to see
The coal and calming white powdered snow
And the cold breeze as the winter winds blow

For you see, no matter how hard you try
It’s never as good as the fake memory in your mind
Whether the weather is to blame
Or simply the set of mind games we play
Who can really say

Caturday Haiku 2

Caturday Haiku

Sitting, waiting, angry, sad, feeling
Cat on the street, lonely, no feed
Please, take home, no-one alone
But then, some one come, and take me, along

Caturday Haiku 1

Caturday Haiku

Cat with various stripes smiles
Patrolling its territory large, no one denies
Afterward, nap time awaits winner
And then, a delicious dinner, with fish

Happy Birthday, Dame Helen!

“You can’t control how other people see you or think of you. But you have to be comfortable with that “Helen Mirren

Happy Birthday, Dame Helen!

The star of everything that matters
Stating this not just for the sake of flatters
The Queen, the Chief Inspector, a tart
Playing them all with very much smart

She is definitely not a prude
When prancing in the nude
Not afraid to speak her mind
Even if it meant to be a little unkind

A naughty word here and there
To make her point, if you weren’t clear
Pure perfection of talent and beauty
Always with the sense of duty

A rose by any other name
Let’s all hail our Dame!

Façades (4)

A messy situation

When the summer arrives
Rest assured, there will be some vibes
And not the good kind you’ll see
As all the streets as torn in to pieces

There are pipes or cables to be laid
The tram routes to be straightened
Something else, which I just now cannot think of
But surely, there is no corner, not ripped off

The busy city centre streets in summer
There is only one word to describe it: Bummer!
But somehow we, the dwellers, still manage
To run, walk and shop, around in the messy facades, as we have lots of courage

Greece vs. Rock for World Wide Wednesday

“There is plenty of rock in good old Greece” Gun Roswell

Greece vs. Rock

Rocks piled, one by one
For miles, they seemed to go on
Maybe, it was a puzzle, the ancients tried to do
Or maybe, it was a fortress, for the chosen few

There it stands, visible from all over the land
A mighty pile of rock, a wall if you will, proudly stands
Make it what you will, a castle, a monument or ancient ruins
They old ones surely knew, when they built it, what they were doing

Here we are, the modern kind
Staring, gawking, wondering, of the find
I guess what ever the vision calls for
But in a good way, they had us all

We have written the history for ourselves
Memorizing the past, from the books on the shelves
Conjuring stories behind the old buildings and kind
Never knowing, where the truth, really lies

Façades (3)

Façades (3)

A clean build

A tall, very old building in the middle, of the street corner
It was built there, just a little before, the starting of the very old wars
It has seen it’s share of things, witnessed many changes
But never, not even once, has it given up, it’s really greatly maintained facade
Pristine, clean, cool, clear, nothing to hide, nothing to fear
It may look rather majestic, but the essence, is pretty simplistic
Take a look, take an picture, it does not mind
As long as you leave, in silence and peace and leave, nothing of yourself behind

Façades (2)

Blue on blue

Fading, into the bluest of skies
Is, the towering building, ever so high
It’s cool exterior is quite the facade
And whom ever designed it, was quite adverse with the arts
So many floors, so many windows
As to whom lives there, no one really knows
You can go in and find out
By knocking on each door or even shout
“Who are you people living in this cool house?”
And maybe, someone will respond or maybe not
But if you really like the looks of the building
Then maybe, you can try to move in
