Ode to My Mac(intosh)

You let out a hum
As I turn you on
I am Flushing
As I am pushing
Your on switch

You light up
Without amok
It’s electric
Almost magnetic
I feel the itch
I am ecstatic

Cannot wait
As you bait
To touch all
Your buttons

Like a glutton
I will call
For you to deliver
As I wait and shiver
Reaching every height
Through your interface
The globe
To integrate

Guess it was love
At first byte

A Quick Trip to Paris nine

“When in Paris, the good times cherish”
Gun Roswell

A Quick Trip to Paris

Architecture from the past
Was made beyond us to last
Preserve them, before they’re trashed
And preserve history, for the masses

The modern versions made of glass
Bringing city wide contrast
Some colour into the mix splashed
Consider it artistic craft

Quote a Week Tuesday

For this week’s quote, I chose a little something to encourage all us writers and writer wanna-bes’; A very useful guideline to follow;)  Simple, isn’t it!?

“This is how you do it: You sit down at the keyboard and you put one word after another until it is done. It’s that easy, it’s that hard.”

Neil Gaiman

Monday Again

Life tends to be an accumulation of a lot of mundane decisions, which often gets ignored” David Byrne

Monday Again

It’s Monday again
I tried to stay in bed
Sleep in
But why bother
For next week
Another Monday
Will raise its head

A Trip to the Market for Seat Sunday

“Superman don’t need no seat belt” Muhammad Ali

A Trip to the Market

Took a quick trip
To the market
Almost flipped
Near the target
Needed a sit
Before the bargain
Charging circuits
To get things started
With all my wit
And whole hearted

Ready for fighting
For the bargain
In the discount market

“Ma’am is acceptable in a crunch, but I prefer Captain” Captain Janeway, Star Trek Voyager

Captain, My Captain

Hair in a bun
Phaser on stun
Cool on the outside
Passionate on the inside
Charging off to battle
Borg, Hirogen, Kazon no matter
The enemy
She can be a frenemy
To get the job done
So pick up your gun
And follow her to hell and back
Pick up the slack
In your action be fair and square
And avoid the death glare
Both fierce and delightful
Quite a handfull
Full of action
She is our Captain

“I understand what’s it like to work all week
and on Friday night just want to go
and leave your brain at the door,
buy some popcorn and be thrilled by something”

Have Yourself a Fabulous Friday!

Leaving the working week far behind
I really have no idea how I ever survived
Fabulous Friday knocking at the door
Awaiting to carry me to a different shore

A glittering sequin dress, a pair of high heels
This is as good as it gets and feels
Leave your sad face and the bad place
Awaited Fabulous Friday is finally here

Prancing, dancing
Singing, winning
There is no stopping us
Well, not at least until the bus
Has arrived to take us home

What Ever! (tbt)

“Screw you guys, I’m going home!” Eric Cartman

what ever mondays

What Ever!

You were smiling
Feeling charming
And quite beguiling
The sun was shining
This was supposed to be
A great day
For a song or a play

But then it turned out to be
Something else completely
It turned out to be
One of *those days*
Struck you in the face
Run over like a ten ton truck
And disappear without a trace

What the fuck?
Feeling like a schmuck
Completely out of luck
Standing in the rain
Without an umbrella
Almost going insane
And not from singing a cappella

So I say “What ever!”
And take my leave
