Order (TDP)

Did you order a seat in the Sun or Shadow?

“Welcome Madam
My name is Adam
I will be your host
For this evening most
Did you want to place your order?
Maybe sit on the sunny side
Or the shadows now taller?
What ever you choose
There is no way you lose
Be your order
Tall or shorter”

Order (TDP)

Pipes are Piping, in Order

When the pipes are piping
The tears are a wiping
There is no room for fighting
Just the orderly sound
Of those pipes a piping

Order (TDP)

One Size Fits: Order Now!

“One size fits all!
Order now and go to the ball!”

The ad kept on repeating
My shoe desire re-heating

Boiling,
Thinking myself spoiling
Finally
And quite decidedly:

“What do I have to lose?

For when in Greece,
Enjoy the streets
In a nice pair
Of new leather shoes

Order (TDP)

Order Upstairs, Chaos Downstairs

Upstairs, downstairs
Each having their own share
Of order and chaos
Joy and pathos

But when the sun shines
No one, inside hides
All of the neighbours
Soon, outside will pour

Order (TDP)

In Orderly Fashion

Like a choo-choo train
Crawling in orderly fashion on the lane
Nope, this is not Spain
And it did not even rain
It’s just a regular traffic jam
With all the vehicles tightly crammed
Even at this hour
There is no turning sour
Just set your gear to slow
And enjoy this colourful metallic show

Basically, with everything, which floats
So come on join the fun
Today, here, under the warming sun!

May Day, May Day!

Posted in Holidays/Simply Poetry

“Today, in the May Day,
find a worker and shake his hand with gratitude!
Without workers, no civilization could be built!”
― Mehmet Murat Ildan

May Day, May Day!

“May Day! May Day!”
The clock blared
As the alarm went off
I woke up with a scoff
“What the F…!”
As this, was supposed to be my day off!

Clearing my throat, with a cough
I quickly got up, in a huff and a puff
Waking, this early in the morning, was tough

I looked at the clock on the wall
Figuring some way, to stall
But the only option, was my ass outside to haul

First view from the window
Did my foggy mind blow
As I rubbed my eyes, little did I know
The only thing I would see, was more snow

What the hell was going on?
I thought May was summer’s dawn
But this plan has one big flaw
The winter has raised its ugly claw

It must have been because of the weather
My alarm clock had made this error
Waking me up early, knowing
I only, could this task endeavour

So now, it was up to me
The land and air rid of the freeze
To bring forth the sunshine and warm breeze
Just had to figure out, how this task to seize!

If I only had powers of magic
I would just pull out some gimmick
But unfortunately, my witchery has a limit

So, for now, I just taped on an image
Onto the window with a view quite idyllic
A summery green meadow,
The warmer weathers to mimic

Anecdote Time!

Anecdote Time!

Never judge a book by its cover. A paperback can be just as entertaining as hardcover.

If you want to dwell in the past, buy yourself a time machine.

You have to learn how to walk before you can run. I found out that the hard way after my hip-surgery.

Looking into a mirror is like… Well, you obviously need to take a selfie!

Time, time, precious time, where have you gone? Don’t tell me, you lost your watch again?

In my youth, the grass was always greener, food tasted better and life was much happier… Then we woke up and put the dog out to pee.

Walking a mile in someone else’s shoes… Be damned sure they are the same size as your own ones!

Today, I woke up, the day was stormy, the skies were gray, my mind felt dull... Well, you can’t always expect to be in the tropics, now can you Dearie?

Don’t do as I do, do as I say! Apparently, you can get away with murder?

People who are smart, beautiful and talented… Really piss me off!

Sad

Another working day
Is started to play
Even though,
Last night I prayed
That instead of a Monday
It would be Saturday
And home I could stay
All day, in my bed lay
