Rainy Day for Daily Photo

“Into each life some rain must fall” Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Soaked

“Rain drops keep falling on my head…”

Said the green sad leaf:
“That particular tune, stopped being funny a moment ago!
Oh how I wish this was snow!
Under the cover, into a slumber, I slowly would fall.
And curl up into a tiny ball”

Art

Nature’s art
The pièce de résistance
She made it smart
With the green
And red dots as a part

bug-2

“Into each life some rain must fall” Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Bugs

Creature crawlies of each kind
Maybe really easy to find
But when it rains
They all fade
Into their place of hiding
But some of them like to be riding
On cool raindrops
A few of them pop
And if you are quick
Then zoom in and click

Under the Red Sun for Daily Photo

“The sun always shines above the clouds.”
― Paul F. Davis

Red Red Sun

“Red, red, red sun
I know you are the one
But there is nowhere left to run
So forgive me this pun
Since I am not having too much fun
And I am cooking like a bun!
So please hear my plead
Even though you are cool indeed
For God’s sake,
Give me some rain already!”

Under the Red Sun for Daily Photo

“Let us dance in the sun, wearing wild flowers in our hair…”
― Susan Polis Schutz

Orange Hue

“I promise to paint you a picture
With red and yellow as a mixture
If you promise me one thing:
When the sun sets,
You do not sing!”

“Sunset is still my favorite color, and rainbow is second” Mattie Stepanek

Red Sunset for Daily Photo

“Fire, fire!”
The natives shouted in a dire
Pointing at the late night sky
Worrying if the world was about to die

As the big bright ball
Made its fall
Darkness soon to follow
Leaving the village cold and hollow

“Fear not my ignorant friend”
The village elder was on the fend
“For tomorrow the bringer of light,
Will us yet another day delight”

A lottery number?
You may have won!
No, not in this mode
Just fall back to slumber

Nothing too cryptic
Nothing remotely close to apocalyptic
But, a date of some importance
At least for where I take my stance

Today, turning fifty one
Feeling, like a phaser on stun
Pardon the Star Trek pun
Being La Gun, is still lots of fun

So:
Happy Birthday to me-ee!

Ride on a Train

Travelling world wide
Without a tour guide
Learning all with pride
On this vintage train
The trip made not in vane
But much more to gain
Than just driving on the lane

Bombs Away!

It was nineteen and forty-five
The world, in a deep dive
Trying very hard to survive
And we did, so for that
A high five!
