Two to four wheels at the time

“Rides of another land, can be different from what you are used to” Gun Roswell

Two to four wheels at the time

When roaming around the roads of a different land
Sometimes you want to try something else than to stand
On your two legs, strolling around might be a lot of fun
Or then too damned exhausting under the scorching sun
So why settle for tears and lots and lots of running sweat
Why don’t you try a different approach instead?
And hop on a ride with two or four wheels and let
These manual and motorized vehicles of plenty
Are simple and easy to be selected
Just walk into any of the road side rentals
Try and pick up the most suited pedals

Then follow these few steps
And you are for a day set:

Fill up the tank
Don’t forget your thanks
And like in the cliché movie done
Ride towards the setting sun
Like I said, this can be a lot of fun!

Flash Freeze

“I found this, in the morning, frozen” Gun Roswell

Flash Freeze

The rain came yesterday, with a loud ring
Drenched in its path, nature and everything
But that was nothing compared to what happened next
As the night fell, things got really fast and rather perplexed
In one single moment, the temperature dropped
Before anyone could react or stay on top
In a blink of an eye, at least someone did spy
Everything left out there, in the open wide
Got a touch of the “flash freeze” frozen solid in time

Mundane Monday Again

“It’s Monday again, Mundane Monday!” Gun Roswell

Mundane Monday Again

No matter if you are travelling or at home
There is always something mundane going on
During the first day of the week
You might not always really find what you seek
But look around what the world of mundane will bring
You may be surprised of the same old things
Look so much different depending of the mood or light
Some of them coming finally to life
There is art where you least expect it to be adored
Just grab your camera and a new attitude and go to explore
It may be Monday, that one specific day
We all love so much to hate, well, at least of it debate
Just call it the beginning of an interesting week to enjoy
Because Friday will get here sooner than you have time to shout:
“Ahoy!”

Sunny side on the Bench

“When I was a kid, the only way I saw movies was from the back seat of my family’s car at the drive-in” Forest Whitaker

Sunny Side on the Bench

On the sunny side of the bench
No option of getting drenched

Enjoying the long, warming rays
In these unworried and lazy days

Before the days are done
Soaking in the healing sun

With closed eyes this moment
Like an image in my mind burnt

Hiding myself

I feel shy today
Alone in this place
They made me stay

So just read my face
It’s clearly splayed
I won’t be swayed
To stay in this place
One more day!

People Watching

“I love work, I could sit and watch people working for hours on end!” Gun Roswell

People Watching

In my own hide away I take things really slow
As I keep on watching life on the streets below
People, cars, rushing by
Time sometimes fast sometimes slow by fly
On ther way to their way to different places
Nothing and no one for a long still stays as is
Making observations and mental notes
Sometimes even daring, to take a few photos
Never a part of them, never far away from them
But ever the vigilant watcher
Of the life down on the streets never stopping there

Autumn, Fall

“Autumn, Fall, what ever they may it call, it’s still gorgeous!” Gun Roswell

Autumn, Fall

In the middle, of the busiest of city centres
Lies a hidden treasure, an oasis, oh so totally splendid
Waters too, clear and very blue, just as the above fluffy clouded sky
The air, today, crisp and clean, with only a few small birds in flight
The bigger ones, such as ducks and even several swans
Make their own way, on the solid ground

But, soon enough, diving into the inviting waters
Frolicking, bathing, even playing, like sea otters
Which in this treasured pond, are not really, found
The odd passer by, giving, to the animals, all around
Treats of plenty, and then, remain watching, in complete awe
As the nature and the animals together a tableau worth a painting form
And for a passing moment, even time itself, completely stalls

Hiding leaf

A half rotten leaf
Hang on to the tree
So strongly willed
That even the chills
Of autumn weather
Could not breach the tether
As strong as the mighty oak
It was grabbing on
Some said, it was a joke
Nothing could survive
The circle of life

“Well,” said the lone leaf
“In your face Mother Nature,
Serves you to let your hatred
Leashed onto a poor piece of dying matter
But now I am finally striking back at ya
So, deal with it,
For I ain’t taking shit
I’ll be here
Way until next year!”

Berried treasure

On the strongest of tree branches
A bunch of free range berries launching
Their planned dive, several feet high
Plunging into the ground below
With sounds loudly thundering
Making the earth tremor and wondering
Wether an earthquake of a great magnitude
Hit the surroundings without prelude

A frozen rose

Even the strongest and prettiest rose
Did in the cold temperatures freeze into an eternal pose
Preserved, for a longest of time
In the most natural cryogenic slime
With a mixture of pure clean water and the weather
The gorgeous flower has now finally been tethered
To the very ground, it once proudly sprout from
A preserved three dee image, now never gone
