“Sometimes it rains, other times the snow falls, especially during winter times, it is expected to fall, alas, these days, with all the change, who knows which it is until you glance out the window and know for sure.” Gun Roswell
Like confetti thrown on a celebrating crowd Covering everything in a white shroud Looking like the skies fluffiest clouds Enjoying the scenic vision feeling proud Before the snowy blanket gets ploughed
“Sometimes, it’s good to forget, the worries, the daily grind, even the shoes and simply stroll out there, into the freshly fallen snow, in only, woolen socks.” Gun Roswell
There are no missteps Just follow my footsteps And you may find A reward of a different kind.. …A pair of woolen socks
“We Finns call it the “Taka-talvi”, loosely translated as backslash winter, not fun at all, especially in the supposed spring month of March, that is just so hard!“ Gun Roswell
Snow, snow, snow, let it snow! But hey, it’s already the month of March, so stop pouring that garbage onto our small suburban, still quite large backyard! (to whomever is listening in). Yeah, you heard me, enough is enough and I am not acting tough here, by any means. Simply telling it as seen over here.
Though, to be honest, the last time shovelling the white stuff, cursing enough is enough, it might have been something the weather deities took to their hearts and out of spite, started pushing more of it, simply to show their might. And hey, on the record: that is not nice! (Shaking fist).
Well, today, after some more work out there, trying all them tricks out of the old sleeve, to rid of the pestering freely flowing white stuff of a thing, which even songs some people about like to sing, at least during X-mas time, go figure, what might be the trigger there! Maybe some state of shock or similar set of mind, trying to be kind here.
“Well, It’s worked so far, but we are not off yet!” Was the snide comment just said, as after the driveway was finally plowed, once again free of the snow, which miles on end you can see, at least, during this time of the year, which is not winter anymore, but Spring, so go ahead, try a song out that sing. It really stopped being funny several moments ago!
“The snow, makes all the difference, don’t you think” Gun Roswell
It was once again that time of the season, when for some reason The expectance of having some much needed snow on the ground Even if the weather forecast predicted it was nowhere to be found But those hopeful ones, who dared to wish and upon a star dish Their deepest and most sacred desires, before they would expire And so, as the night time once again, like every day, on time fell Some of the fans of winter, remained seated, by the window sill And all of a sudden, all their wishes were granted, to the very hilt As the solemn flakes of frozen ice, across the chilly air, were spied And where there was one, soon enough, more would definitely follow Leaving the autumn, grey dull coloured ground anything but hollow And in the early morning hours, gleeful the cheers of big and small Were heard where ever anyone looked out of their windows small The snow had finally landed, and the season just got a whole lot grander
“The snow always falls when you are not looking, at least it seems that way, especially when you standing there waiting with a shovel!” Gun Roswell
The snow, does not wait for anyone, rather falls where it may, especially when the weather is too cold for rain or sleet so, without the heat, all of it, landing wherever it may, will freeze, thus laying a protective cover, all over the place. And if you are lucky enough to get a sunny day in your zone, then those frozen particles of snow, will most certainly get to shine and glow in the warm but cold sun shine all day, or rather short day long up in the North.
So, whether you are a fan of the winter, the cold and harsh environment, where all is frozen and covered with snow, then this season will most likely be treating you with all kinds of nice. But if you are a total hater of the cold and cannot stand to even look outside, well, maybe just take one small peak, because no matter hater of lover, this snowy treat of a cover, where the whole place looks like it is frozen in time, will certainly give you a small smile.
“The weather is always at its worst, on Mondays, oh how I don’t like Mondays or was it, just winter?“ Gun Roswell
The green of the soggy ground, soon another kind of cover found As the soft white of the snow, today, made its early and neat bow The Monday kind of grey, soon turned to a ride in an old school sleigh With odd sounds filling the airs, in the form of some kind of cheers This day of mundane, was turning out to be, a very special type of day And maybe, just maybe, that is thanks, to the now growing banks Of this cold and white powder of substance, all over and everywhere But not saying this out of despair, even if it really, is not that rare To have all that snow, all over the floors, at this time of year, so near To the favourite of all seasons, and that being the most and only reason Putting up, with all this huff and puff of the white, now making the outside Picturesque, no less than it was a few moments ago, or even yesterday When the whole world was covered, in total non fashion kind of grey So, welcome oh dear snow, hope you will bring so much fun in tow But remember to melt away, as soon, as the winter’s sun hits play!
“It’s quite white on the outside, lots of snow having fallen, no end in sight, which really is no plight, rather an opportunity, for a snow day, to indoors remain, having some time off?” Gun Roswell
Soft snowflakes falling down to the ground Like confetti thrown on a celebrating crowd Covering everything in a white shroud Looking like the skies fluffiest clouds Enjoying the scenic vision feeling proud Before the snowy blanket gets ploughed
“The wintery wonders right there on my windowsill, pretty little flakes forming all kinds of cool shapes“ Gun Roswell
The cold weather had made its point, the rain from before turned into snow and hale, and then freezing onto the windowsill, creating tiny stars of ice, looking very nice. And of course they do as they are made to look like tiny stars, glittering and blinking in the cold winter’s early morning sun light ever so bright, making the onlooker smile.
Beautiful things the nature will spin, weather wise, no matter rain, snow or ice, there will always be something totally pretty left behind, right there on the windowsill for the casual viewer to look at, and that is a matter of fact, even if the lack of warm weather might cause some chills for the patrons of the nature kind of art.
But no matter the weather, there is really something so very special about the cold and the icy sparks attached tote surface of the window, as they will not there too long hold, so keep on admiring the view reserved only for a few moments in time until the chime of warmer weather starts to rise and then they are gone for good.
