Brazil revisited 6

“I see that it is by no means useless to travel the wide world,
especially if you keep your eyes, mind and heart open for the new experiences” Gun Roswell

Roof Top

Sitting on the roof top

Why?

Because it was time for a stop
Switch gears, and make a swap

Now

Laying around like a blob
Thinking(?)
I need to pick up that mop

Never mind
It’s just a job
I can easily do
Tomorrow

Graffiti

Darling! Sweetie?!
Did you, just paint, that graffiti?
Oh! How it, dazzled me, so completely!

Biker Dude

Down the busiest of streets
The roaring engine, setting the beat
No time, to even tweet
Not even, for any of them sweets

Because:
“Got some old pals to meet
And,
To dry, my bloody soaking feet!”

Slow Boat down the River

On a slow boat
On this wide moat
Did bring a tote
Filled with some oat
To feed the goat…

“Wait a minute, wait a minute?
River, oat, goat?
What’s the catch in this?”

“Well, it’s for me to know
And you to find out!”

Enjoying the Solitude

2-b

A game, of some solitaire
In this nightly fresh and open air
Complete solitude and total silence
This, special place, is priceless

Brazil revisited 1

1-b

In the deepest of rain forests, in Brazil
You can most definitely feel, the eternal thrill
Especially when sailing down, the river Negro
Quite, as the great unknown of an incognito
And then, a glimpse of the dolphins
With surprise of a raise, of the endorphins

Lanzarote island revisited 2

“I tend to write every single day, even more so, when I am on the road, travelling” Gun Roswell

Lanzarote island revisited 2

Lunch time, feeling hungry, as travelled all day long
And for this experience, the need is, to absolutely stay strong

A local salad, on the rocks, and of course, of hot molten lava
Maybe, try to add, into the odd mix, some delicious guava

Then for much, much later, a dessert
And you better make it, a cup of Java

For this here place, is now, our final destination
The goal, for the mind and body, an utter and total elation

Because, on this, fine, fine day, we will have lots of fun
On this, oh so remote island, born ages ago, of the sun

Lanzarote Island revisited

“Travel back in time, to the wonderful island, of Lanzarote, but only in my memories and photographs” Gun Roswell

Lanzarote Island revisited

The skies, painted in the most gorgeous colour of blue
Clouds, so totally white and fluffy, but luckily, far and few
Sun, which seems to be always shining, ever so brightly
The pool just outside, now beckoning and oh so inviting

The local, and the original dwellings painted all in white
This, magnificent place, oh, definitely is our “campsite”
Our home away from home, well, at least, for a week
What else could one want, or to be, or even, to see?

But to this gorgeous village in the middle of nowhere to flee
On an island no less, in the middle, of the very, very large sea!

Acropolis revisited, part 2

“To travel to new lands, strange places, to review the current life over there, but also the history, which sometimes turns out to be more interesting” Gun Roswell

Acropolis revisited, part 2

The faces from the distant past
Preserved for the present, in plaster to last
The historical figures, such as gods and goddesses
Even some of the more regular folks no less
Were all, immortalized in clay
Their strong posture and pretty faces, to forever stay
For the prosperity to, well, stop by and stare
But hey, this is our history revealed
And if you think about it, indeed
I would not mind getting my own simple face
In concrete, stone or whatever strong to stay
As gorgeous, or pretty, or whatever, as it can, anyway
Because this mug isn’t so great to start with
Still, if it was to happen, goddess forbid
I definitely, and most certainly, would not resist
But that is for the future onlookers to decide
Whether this, well, somewhat uggo face with a crooked smile
Is worth for to write about in all the history books
As to, what really was the common looks
Of this so called two-thousand of a century
As nothing else here, I can see, is too fancy
No alluring wizards or other types, maybe sea hags and such
Definitely no mountains filled with deities in lust
Just some random tech we maybe invented on the run
Some stupid  television shows of comedies just for the fun
Anyway, so I guess the message of this little ditty really was
That, hey, history, go see it, it’s a total must!

Shade and the Beach

“Under the shade giving parasol, situated on a beach, is, where I totally like to sit” Gun Roswell

Shade and the Beach

On a lazy day in the middle of the hazy season
I cannot find any one simple and totally good reason
For staying away from the tempting summer’s beach
Even if, someone, just might call me, a royal leach

As I am headed towards that sandy haven
I listen to the other people and their constant craving
Of taking some desperately needed and deserved, time off
But I filter it all out, because I’ve decided, to differ from the lot

Reaching the designated place, with my trusted parasol I stay
Under it because the sunlight might be burning fate
Seated comfortably with enough food and drinks
And some good reading my teeth into I can sink

I am finally out and totally day off kind of proud
To be resting on the soft sandy beach without noises loud
My mobile phone turned off and I am officially out of reach
Because today is that kind of a day at the beach

Under the shade, of course
The shade on this great beach
