Athens, Acropolis

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart” Helen Keller

Athens, Acropolis

Basking in the sun
Athens, Acropolis
A place of fun
A place of knowledge

Climbing up the mountain
Looking for the fountain
Of wisdom and history
Shrouded in mystery

8

Walking in the footsteps
Of the ancient Greeks
But, watch your steps
On the narrow streets

Once reaching the top
The effort but one hop
The view of awe and beauty
You know it really was your duty

Noir

“Feeling the darkness within me” Gun Roswell

Noir

The darkness slowly settling in
Like the black feelings within
No sun no moon, no stars
Nothing seen but those endless scars
You might say it’s due to this, special season
But telling that lie would constitute as treason

Compared to this blue ain’t such a bad colour after all
Because, even frozen snowballs, get the blues, in hues
And then, throw in some grey and they’ll throw back some shade,
This certainly ain’t no drive in any slay in any parade
For now, let’s just keep the mood and lips in a frown
Just because, there is this great big excuse, of darkness

But I digress, since life, is always such a big mess
Anyway, so why not embrace, the noir inside and outside, less
Light, can make anything look really good
And I ain’t just talking about food!
If the oddest thing would happen; a spring with colours slapping
In all kinds of mixed odours, then I’ll be prepared

Kinda, but still wearing the noir, backed up by a choir!

Cat of Saturday

“Cats, the rulers of the world” Gun Roswell

Cat of Saturday

Sitting on a chair, this
Is my lair, I am the cat
In white hair, look at

Me now, and before me
Bow, I am the ruler of this
This seat and this street

Worship me, bring me food
And maybe if I feel like it
I will let you pet

Me, but not before its
Late, because I don’t want anyone seeing
Me being a pussy cat,

After all I have a
Reputation to maintain, and that cannot be
Stained by any hooman, ever

“Where’s the honey?” Gun Roswell

Bee keeper

The bee has finally landed
Onto the deck, for some well deserved
Rest, but where’s the honey?

Apple invested

“Invest in apples, they beat the crap out of doctors” Gun Roswell

Apple invested

I invested in a red apple
Eating it the very first day, then
I went and bought more

Now I have apple in
All formats imaginable, fresh, dried, sauce, jam
No, it’s really no scam

An apple a day, may
Keep some doctors away, but better than
That, they taste real great

Eat the nature’s divine gift
Eat it inside, outside or in the lift
You cannot go very wrong

High rise

“Rise up, really high” Gun Roswell

High rise

A solemn building, slightly tilting
Floors stacked upwards reaching the tallest skies
Don’t jump from the top

Blindsided

“The strong sunlight blinded me” Gun Roswell

Blindsided

Reflections from the glassy surface
Made me cry my poor eyes out
Or was it something else?

Crack of heaven

“Look up, something is happening” Gun Roswell

Crack of heaven (Haiku)

The heavens opened above us
A pale blue patch over the umbrellas
Trying to reach, without luck

A million years ago

“Was I ever that young?” Gun Roswell

A million years ago

It feels like a million
But in truth, years much less than
Was I ever that young?

“Single white flower” Gun Roswell

Going solo

A pretty little flower to
The market went, whole day spent on
A terrace sipping tiny cocktails
