Sunday, Always On My Mind

“Sunday is so much better than Monday” Gun Roswell

Sunday, Always On My Mind

Why, is Sunday
Always on my mind?
When the working week starts
And Monday feelings smart
I have Sunday on my mind
If Tuesday brings some fun
Until Wednesday things get done
But enter Thursday
A total loose day
And again, I have Sunday on my mind
Finally Friday arrives
My face all in smiles
Feelings of Sunday on the arise
Quickly passes Saturday
My proverbial Caturday
One more night to sleep
In a slumber so deep
Dreaming, of Sunday
The one day
Always, on my mind
Oh universe, please be so kind
And let it always be, Sunday!

The Calming of Sundays

“It’s always calmest before the storm, that’s why they call it Sunday” Gun Roswell

The Calming of Sundays

The presence of calm today is lulling me to false sense of security
As, today is Sunday, I know with almost a hundred percent certainty
That it is only a fake state
Before it is too late
For me to realize
That Monday, is once again upon us
Thus, bringing the horrific storm of fuzz
The weekly strugle, the mundane strife
The grind which all of us want to escape
But, on this day, on this hour, it is much too late
The holy weekend is over
As the darkening clouds start revolving
Over our tiny heads evolving
Bringing forth images do scary
It is a miracle any of us survive
Live throughyhe night as the winds are howling
Your very essence scowling
Preaparing for the worst to come
And leaving you stunned
Too nervous to think or move
Yes, the weekly grind, the huge storm
Definitely, has you schooled
To be, act and live
By only its one rule
At least, Monday through Friday
During the weekend
It’s not a concern, how your time is spent

May Day, May Day!

“Today, in the May Day,
find a worker and shake his hand with gratitude!
Without workers, no civilization could be built!”
― Mehmet Murat Ildan

May Day, May Day!

“May Day! May Day!”
The clock blared
As the alarm went off
I woke up with a scoff
“What the F…!”
As this, was supposed to be my day off!

Clearing my throat, with a cough
I quickly got up, in a huff and a puff
Waking, this early in the morning, was tough

I looked at the clock on the wall
Figuring some way, to stall
But the only option, was my ass outside to haul

First view from the window
Did my foggy mind blow
As I rubbed my eyes, little did I know
The only thing I would see, was more snow

What the hell was going on?
I thought May was summer’s dawn
But this plan has one big flaw
The winter has raised its ugly claw

It must have been because of the weather
My alarm clock had made this error
Waking me up early, knowing
I only, could this task endeavour

So now, it was up to me
The land and air rid of the freeze
To bring forth the sunshine and warm breeze
Just had to figure out, how this task to seize!

If I only had powers of magic
I would just pull out some gimmick
But unfortunately, my witchery has a limit

So, for now, I just taped on an image
Onto the window with a view quite idyllic
A summery green meadow,
The warmer weathers to mimic
