“Sometimes even the faded colours can be oh so very pretty” Gun Roswell
Faded colour
Faded odour
Reminiscent, of summer
For it too,
Will loose its colours
And turn to slumber
When Autumn falls

“Yellow is the new orange” Gun Roswell
Yellow
Yellow is my colour
Yellow is my odour
Yellow is the one to adore
Yellow, not much more
Yellow is for a flower
Yellow is for the wall
Yellow, on a bathroom stall
Yellow, the colour of spring
Yellow for the fellow
Yellow for the lady
Yellow can be a helluva
Colour for a baby
Yellow is bright
Yellow is fresh
Yellow will make you smile
Yellow, what else!
“Roses of any colour are so gorgeous, even in black and white poses” Gun Roswell

Roses in monochrome pose
The neatly made arrangement, in the tall vase
Making sure, the flowers, in an orderly stance stay
The fresh cut stems, certainly trimmed to fit
As all the colourful, roses inside of it neatly sit
The pose, so completely natural, it’s almost second nature
The plush petals trimmed, to reminisce that of a statue
The strong yet delicate odour, filling, the surrounding air
As such is the nature, of this ever so romantic floras flair
Even, when stripped all the way down, to the bare basics
The lush colours, the volume, and all other imaginable clicks
These, as the most beautiful roses, still stand tall in their form
Grey in colour now, but, that could have easily been the norm
But, it does not really matter in the end, too much really
Whether the image can be seen sharp, or even so clearly
And certainly no kind of colour, even black or white
Can bring out the very essence or do just justice
To this, entity, of a gorgeous rose, always, shining brightly
“The flowers are still blooming” Gun Roswell

A flower of the day
The flower for today
Here on a nice display
Not a pretty little thing
Just a bad drawing
Done in haste
But did nit want it to go to waste
A naive painting
Will not be the zing
But if you gave a quirky smile
That will do for a while
” A rose, smells so nice, you cannot think twice; Just buy the damned flower!” Gun Roswell
A Rose by any other Colour
A rose, neatly cut, neatly coloured, stood in a perfect pose
Just, like in on of the most perfect lines of prose
And guess what, I just had to, stick there, my tiny nose!
Why? Just because…
… the rose is the most prettiest of them all
The rose can stand the times and the falls
The rose does never disappoint you with a sentiment false
The rose comes in sizes great and even small
A rose, by any other colour, or a different odour
Just the perfect cheer for any day or other
And guess that is all one needs before the summer
Why? Just because…
… I love roses!
Happy Valentine’s Day to One and All!
