A cottage, in a tree? Surely not!

“Sometimes, one wants a home to be as cozy as that, and preferably situated on the highest top of them all” Gun Roswell

Red, yellow, any other colour, or maybe even painted black
The choices for living, really do not lack
Going around and around, never once looking back
As one, after the other, is so much better, than the last
But, for only one week at the time
Spending, my vacation, nearly, on a dime
Even the weather, is ever so fine

Homes of all colours and sizes

“Wherever you may dwell, it’s hopeful it’s the place where you really want to be in” Gun Roswell

Homes from yesteryear
Homes for the modern dweller
Homes with modern gear
Homes even worth a thriller
All of them found
Near by and all around
Those homes for many or the one

Rooftop view is a point of view

“The view from above is always so much cooler than the one from the ground” Gun Roswell

Rooftop view is a point of view

The slippery tiles of the tops high, making me think it was quite the insane venture, in getting up here, on the top of the house, just because someone suggested it would be a great place to set up, a monitoring space to keep an eye on the rest of the world, at least do I’ve heard.

But as I try to make my way, across the steep structure with too much sway, I begin to wonder if it was indeed a great idea after all, and perhaps would only cause my fall, all the way down to the very ground, but as I glance around, seeing the views up here only to be found, I get a change of heart, as this was way smart a move to make after all.

And now, here I sit, on a somewhat comfy fit, with my surveillance gear and a large sandwich, watching, observing, even learning, what other people do, when they think nobody has the view, to their secrets below, but hey, sitting up here on the rooftop, gives me the perfect inside scoop, and so being in the loop of the goings on below have never been more easy, even if stalking others seems, well, sleazy.

Stacked, piled, on top of each other

“They really are all on top of each other! How can they get into their houses then?“ Gun Roswell

Stacked, piled, on top of each other

The dwellings of the local villagers
Upon a steep hillside subside
The colourful small decorated houses
Are the homes of people and their, well mouses
(yes i know the plural is mice, but could not make it rhyme ;P)

Built on top of each other
Maybe, as some kind of cover?
To be on the safe side of the divided
The construction workers decided
There is security in numbers some put
And they all knew then what they do should
And then, they put each of the homes
On top of the other in a shape of a dome
So now, the happy inhabitants
Live together, but still separate
Happy, with their daily lives
And also, naturally, do the mice!

Building blocks

“Just like Lego’s, the modern houses are built” Gun Roswell

Building blocks

Sometimes, adding plenty of colours so bright
Sometimes, they just stick with plain black and white
Building blocks for modern homes, several stories in height
In just a few weeks time, the parts will be assembled
As soon as the trucks arrive, the workers start to rumble
The barren construction site, soon beginning to resemble
A place for people to live, for a short moment or even longer
A place to call home, with a family, or just alone
The work finally completed, the workers are now seated
Admiring their handy work, taking pride, even if it was just a while
And everything was done, from ready made blocks
Which the companies still have plenty of in stock
And soon enough, another neighborhood will be up
Similar but not quite, to this already built site
