A view from the stern of the boat

“The setting sun left behind, the bow set towards the night, sailing across the high seas, to the pending darkness, but for now, the warmth of the shiny ball is still on our backs“ Gun Roswell

A view from the stern of the boat

The splashing waves causing ripples onto the water’s surface, the sunny rays reflected, without a real purpose, but it does not make it any less appealing, watching the powerful waves, on display, as the boat keeps on moving along, following a set trail, with the sails in full, the blowing winds giving the power needed, to the forward momentum, otherwise the ores would be needed, the manpower alone currently on board, too little to do the deed, thankfully though, Mother Nature has given the means, and so, to her graces we lean, taking us to new lands beyond the horizon, the day ending on this vista, but the next, might just give us more, shiny suns across the board, the blue skies and warm winds, that might just be the score.

Moon (Daily Photo)

As I am spotting the night trains passing by
I notice a round white ball in the black sky
In my mind’s eye, trying to reach high
But I just stumble, my aim gone awry

Reaching for the moon
Like it was a gold doubloon
Expecting everything to come soon
Will only lead to one’s doom

“There’s something boring about people who have to go to an office for a living” Karl Lagerfeld

“In order of appearance”

In the early morning hours
From my mighty tower (yeah right!)
I looked outside from my window
I was lucky to stay indoors
Because, it was very dark despite
The glorious blanket of white
That had fallen down the day before
What a total score!
Someone else would say
It was actually a sarcastic “yay”
Which from my mouth out dropped
Before I had to stop
The sarcasm getting too darn…
Still, debating, whether outside to pop
Or stay inside by the warm
With my trusted coffee cup

Staring for a moment
Not wanting to get frozen
I still couldn’t tore away
Transfixed,
Almost jinxed
Standing there
Looking at the open lane
Nothing stirred,
Well maybe something
I noticed one thing
A neighbour outside then came
Starting a task
Possibly with a help from “the flask”
Scraping the car
Trying to rid off
All the ice and snow
Not getting too far
Because the sky was pouring
More of the white stuff

Still standing in my spot
Looking at the clock
Ticking away
Not wanting to get to the boring
Part of my day
You all know what I mean
But, no good comes from just a lean
Tearing away, to my trusted laptop
With almost a scoot and a hop
Started reading, typing,
Huffing and puffing (but of course)
Soon I was in a swing
Troubles and solutions
Solved with a swing

Before I realized
The night was upon us
Time to shut down
Let the evening gown
Dress me down
And a little later
That darn traitor
Sleep, get me
And to other worlds flee
For tomorrow
Back in to the flow
Of another working day
I needed to play

“The brain is a wonderful organ; it starts working the moment you get up in the morning and does not stop until you get into the office” Robert Frost

“In order of appearance”

No, this is not a weather report and certainly not Mundane Monday post (that I already did on Monday, so check it out too 😉 )

You can call this, “‘Till Wednesday”, if you like. There will be no glitter, no glamour, no sunsets nor sunrises (well, maybe, still a few).

Simply depicted in photographs, how yet another working week started, after the holiday season was over and it was time to return back to everyday life in suburbia and back to world of office, well, this week, home office.

Enjoy!

The Odds and End of an October’s Day, Part One

An other week started
Living in it full hearted
Caught by the blue moment
In the early morning hours
Much to my enjoyment
It gave me super powers

Working through the days
Enjoying the evening haze
The sunsets and the darkness
With promises
Of a new tomorrow
