Rain, no shine, pretty please!

“Bring me rain, to be able to breathe” Gun Roswell

Bring me no shine no more
But lots of rain down on me pour
I need to breathe in the liquid
This sunshine is killing me quickly

I tried so hard to adjust
Because I was told I must
But in the scorching light
I feel my will lost the fight

I was happier in the darker dreary
Feeling everything near me
The shiny bright open wide
I cannot find a place to hide

Shadow almost gone now
Even the winds hotly blow
Only one place left to go
But I cannot reach the under growth

Please hear my plead o’ mighty Thor
Send down some rain and roar
Heal this bleeding sores
Before all that remains is deadly scorned

Ships passing

“The sea is calm just after the storm, and now, the ships are moving back and forth again, so what are you waiting for? Let’s go on a boat ride!“ Gun Roswell

The fog, finally clearing from the waters edge, soon something else, there will be wedged. The level of the horizon, I think is the best, and so, gazing into the void intently I can see, there are two boats out there, meeting at sea, something not foreseen, but rather a random happenstance, at least on first glance.

And so, it indeed was a random encounter for sure, as neither of them knew in there they were lured. The change of weather had caught them by surprise, and so, the equipment haywire almost caused the demise. Alas, snap thinking of the captain made them safe and so now, out there in the high seas, the two craft suddenly meet.

But whether it was a change encounter of any kind, the ships meeting, well, it was all just fine. As the greetings exchanged while passing the other, was more than a hello and less than a hugger. And then, each of them back on their own route, to make their way to the other side.

Monday Travel

So, we meet again! My dearest, not! Monday! Why can’t you be gone already?” Gun Roswell

Monochromatic
It’s really electric
Even with only a few colours
You can smell the odours
Of the world of greys
Where all the light
And even shadows stay

Monochromatic
Is the world often seen
But even the plain shades
From white to all the greys
The nuances are there
You just need to stare
And up they pop, in your face

Monochromatic
I am getting quite ecstatic
The dance of light
And the bass of shadow
Never me fail
Just letting it all go
The bright colours
Do not bother me anymore

Nature and the monochrome

“The buds are changing into something completely different, like flowers and other wild things!” Gun Roswell

What on Earth was all the ruckus about, just outside my very own window. It was like someone had stopped there to shout out loud, but why? Was the ground filled with snow? It as spring time and weather was simply fine as it was, so why all the fuss?

After all, it was that time of the year, when the ice had melted away and even the tiniest cracks on the ground, housed a bud or few way past their curfew and were ready at any moment to sprout. But that wasn’t any kind of reason to get too exited as this was part of the cycle of life.

I looked out and realised the shout, wasn’t coming from the outside, but from deep within myself as I had simply realised some things, unconsciously naturally. It was the day of June and all the hay, the flowers, had so totally conquered the world outside and without a doubt, I had now come to the conclusion, it was summer once again and out I too did sprout, just like those buds sleeping only yesterday.

Green but Grey

“The green is a colour of monochrome, so why not make it in grey” Gun Roswell

The lush of all the gorgeous greens, in various shades of the colours can be seen, but when the season hits, when the green colour is the very hit, the world will look and feel, pretty monochromatic at best, the colours albeit restful, can be seen as one single syllable dull, monochromatic in nature, literally, and they will take over the world, just like the snow fell upon and everywhere during winter season, summer will be the lush green grey without too much of a reason. And so, turning the one single colour of green, to something more closely seen, as the symbol of the monochrome theme, albeit equally as vivid and lush, even if only mentioned in hushed tones, as the one and full grey, never really could slay, the palette of the liking of everyday, and therefore not a popular choice as the voice of those in the grey’s corner, are usually more quieter than the rest. So, even if you love the lushness of all the greens, perhaps having a more open minded approach, a variation to the theme and try to let the grey shades in?

An alien construct perhaps?

“The unicoloured monochromatic construct reaching for the dark skies… could this be built by ancient aliens or simply futuristic humans?“ Gun Roswell

Touching the sky, ever so lightly, and perhaps because of that it is radiating the brightest of lights, even with the material concrete, but it is no more or no less illuminating, reflecting ever so softly, all that pretty light from the above skies.

Some say, it was built by ancients from the very past, built so it would last the testament of time, while others claim in one loud chime, that it just popped up there only yesterday like child’s play, but it does not really matter when or whom it was which structured the building, not painted or guilds, as it certainly is a beacon for us all, standing ever so tall.

So, what remains for us mere mortals to do, is to simply look up and this construct adore, give it the adoration it deserves and bask, bask away in the guiding light as it all blurs, into the surrounding neighbourhood.

The waiting maid at the door

“Those who served in the past, with little or none in compensations and with too much to do, never a moment to their own, only a resting place in the end” Gun Roswell

The young woman stood there, by the door, not sure whether she could step inside, onto the floor, after all, she was there only for one purpose, to serve, the family, those who would have her, a labourer for the day, working for minimal wage.

She wasn’t educated by any means, but what she lacked in knowledge, she always managed to compensate with courage and hard labour, never the one to shy away from any given task, no matter how hard and long it would last.

When the working day was done, staring in the early morning hours and ending by nightfall, when the rest of the family had fallen, sleep catching, as only then was she allowed to take a rest, for a few hours until the next arriving day break.

This circle of her life went on for years to come, until she was finally done, getting a proposal from the farmer’s son and off and married she was, not her goal in life, but way back when, this was how a woman’s life was spent… or then again, perhaps, it wasn’t in the so distant past after all?

Black and white and grey

“Those shady greys are everywhere” Gun Roswell

The sky so gorgeous over my head
I cannot tear my sore eyes away

Despite this monochromatic view
I choose to stand here’s and drool

Painted images with black and white
Make a beautiful tableau of the skies
Lurking greys are in the shadows
But only for the effect as the wind blows

Even without colour the picture is so vivid
With my camera going quite livid
Palm trees and cloudy sun filled skies
This is the place where the true beauty lies

The water’s edge?

“Spending my day by the waters edge, sitting on the ledge, pondering about life, and the is all just so very fine” Gun Roswell

The day quite warm and skies above clear, without any kind of stormy weather to fear
Taking the long scheduled daily stroll, towards a special destination never, ever dull
That certain one place, where time almost always stays, perfectly still, and the only chill
Is from the cool and calming breeze, blowing inward land there from the high seas
Which lets you finally breathe with so much more ease, than how the inland feels
And as you make your way, to the very end of the pier and your eyes will their claim lay
Onto the blueness surrounding the over all wild scenery, the wide waters and the skies
You will know immediately as you take in the total sum of the sight, you will want to stay
In this calming sootiness of a cocoon, forever and then maybe even one more day

Monochromatic Sunshine Land

“I see a lot of of greys” Gun Roswell

Looking at the world through monochromatic eyes
Eyes wide without any shade or disguise
Disguise, which is so easy to cover
Cover up all the faults
Faults only visible in true colours
Colours so easily distorted Distorted like the inevitable truth
Truth which cannot be hidden Hidden in the shades and shadows
Shadows only seen in the darkness
Darkness hiding in the black Black and white turning to grey
Grey, which is the true colour Colour without any kind of colour
Colour only described as monochrome

Monochrome in so many shades
Shades you learn to love Love rather than hate Hate really is such an ugly colour
Colour so much more than any other
Other could be like monochrome Monochrome mania Mania to celebrate it all
