October, Rocktober, Sobtober? Part One

October: Month of wellingtons and mackintoshes
Photography and Poetry

“What could be more exciting than an October day? It’s your birthday, Fourth of July and Christmas all rolled into one.” Peggy Toney Horton

October, Rocktober, Sobtober? Part One

Little if no sunlight
Feeling the urge of flight
Looking through windows
Outside tall shadows
Cold weather gracing us
With minus degrees Celsius
Colours quickly a fading
The nature slowly graying

October or sobbtober
Surely nothing to rock over
You followed September
Surely, a month to remember

But, as life always has a twist
Therefore I must insist
This time, this October
Was truly a rocktober

With sunshine in abundance
And colours of substance
So far nothing to complain about
No time for doubt or pout
Both spirit and camera uplifted
With feelings of being gifted
With a beautiful October

Caturday 2015-10-10

Happy with my kitty
So I wrote this little ditty
Why don’t you sing along
To the tune of this familiar song

Soft kitty, warm kitty
Purring on my lap
Sleepy kitty, happy kitty
Why don’t I too take a nap

My little ball of fur
Listening to you purr
Life is kind of a blur
But this is how I prefer

Friday, Sunset in Suburbia

“When the sun has set, no candle can replace it.” George R.R. Martin

Friday, Sunset in Suburbia

Sitting at the window
In my little house
In deepest of suburbia
Watching the clouds
As they pass by
The sun slowly setting
Disappearing behind
The tall buildings
I keep on clicking
Capturing the turn
Of the brightest day
Into the darkest of nights

Homage to Sigourney Weaver, Happy Birthday

“It’s such a nice change to get to play a wretched, shallow, mergers-and-acquisitions woman. My true colors come out” Sigourney Weaver

Homage to Sigourney Weaver, Happy Birthday

Titillating, luscious, sexy
Statuesque, stately, leggy

Just a few adjectives to describe
An actress quite divine

Drama, comedy, horror
Sometimes even the explorer

Quite the knack for science fiction
Up to the point of fans’ addiction

The queen of all queens
Our one and only Sci-Fi Queen

On this day of celebration
Thanking you for your dedication

What more is there to say
But a very Happy Birthday

Stuck Between a Poem and a Hard Place

An homage to Poetry

PoetryQuote4_zpsa4587647

“Breathe-in experience, breathe-out poetry” Muriel Rukeyser

Stuck Between a Poem and a Hard Place

I am a poet
But did not know it
Now I am writing
Lyrics without biting
The bullets
My mind to the fullest
Hammering the keyboard
Not a big chore
No, not anymore

Ever since I started
I cannot be parted
From the blank page
That clean slate
Words pouring
My heart roaring
I feel elevated
Totally animated
Full of excitement

I am completely and utterly
Lost in Poetry

A poem a day keeps the Shrink away!

“I Look Fuckin’ Cool” – Adore Delano & Alaska Thunderfuck

A Wanna-be Drag Queen

There is just something
to be said
About a man
in a dress
Not one hair
in a mess
Everyone staring
at big earrings

A Sculpted body
and lean legs
The woman embodies
A honey trap?
but into the spiders webs

Sickening
Gorgeous
Bickering
Flawless
Fabulous
Marvelous

Out of this world
Down the runway they swirled
Looking fucking cool
All we do is drool

You better work
With your lips in a smirk
It’s just a quirk
Don’t let it irk

I may be a woman
Must come clean
Maybe an omen
But I’m a wanna-be drag queen

“It’s not personal, It’s just drag” – Alyssa Edwards

World Wide Wednesday Presents: Mallorca Part Three, Odds and Ends

Taking a ride on a train
On this island of Spain
Driving down a narrow lane
Watching the local terrain
Sun is shining, no rain
Sipping on champagne
Feeling very entertained
Passing the mountain chain
And the flattest of plains
There is nothing mundane
About this trip across the domain

Blue Moment

Blue Moment

That silent moment
Between sunset
And complete darkness
The blue moment
Sets, before the sun

October Day in Suburbia

Photography and Poetry

“The fallen leaves in the forest seemed to make even the ground glow and burn with light” Malcolm Lowry, October Ferry To Gabriola

October Day in Suburbia

The sun was beckoning
Behind the closed window shades
The outside warm and welcoming
Blue skies and colours splayed
On the tableau drawn by nature
Quite the creator
Of beauty and awe
Almost dropped my jaw
When I stepped outside
And stared with pride
