SL WEEK 13: I want to ride my Bicycle

I want to ride my bicycle
I want to ride my bike
I want to ride it where I like
Sometimes, even a trike

With this simple vehicle
On a ride so magical
Ever so classical
In today’s world radical
And utterly likeable
Someone said impossible
Even behaviour maniacal
Never mind the icicles
And the cynicals
I just keep on riding on
My bicycle

Nightfall in Suburbia

“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers” L.M. Montgomery

Nightfall in Suburbia

The expectance of storm and rain
Transformed into a beautiful play
The sunset beyond the treeline
Never looked so fine
The colours painted in the sky
Catering both mind and eye
A perfect ending for the day
I wish I had more time to stay

“Sometimes I’m so sweet even I can’t stand it.” Julie Andrews

Homage to Dame Julie Andrews, Happy 80th Birthday!

The hills are alive
With the sound of Julie
Moving along with a jive
An ageless beauty

Victor Victoria and The Sound of Music
With Mary Poppins adds to pure magic
Theatre, movies, musicals and records
Hitting the set of perfect chords
A truly multitalented performer
With a knack of being a transformer

Damehood received
Fans very pleased
Our Dame Julie
We love you truly

“Doctor, doctor! There is too much blood in my caffeine system!” Gun Roswell

There is always time for Coffee

Coffee, black!
That is a matter of fact
Enjoy it while hot
Right there on the spot
If you need cooling
With coffee there is no fooling
Try it as a frappé
Or even as a latte
Coffee never fails
Even when it ails

Today
Is the final day
For the Autumn month
Of September

You were soft
You were warm
You were colourful
Your were plentiful

Did not promise much
But delivered more
And as such
I truly you adore

World Wide Wednesday Presents: Mallorca, Part One

Palma Nova
The sweetest Rosa
Of the island Mallorca

Welcomes
The weary traveler
A world’s passenger

Come
And take a load off
Forget all that scoff
Enjoy the sunny beach
Watch the waves breach

Colourful and vibrant
Like a water hydrant
The little village by the sea
No better place to be
