Pretty White Things
Pretty little white things
On the darkened branch stringed
Of the joys of spring
To a mellow tune they’ll sing

“There are four basic food groups: milk chocolate, dark chocolate, white chocolate, and chocolate truffles” ~Author Unknown
Chocolate is The Answer, Who Cares What the Question is!
You may be iconic
But also diabolic
It’s quite symbolic
To call me a ‘holic
But still I frolic
When I get glycogenic
Pining for your taste
Of the full flavour laced
With truffles
My mouth muffled
When I eat
My favourite treat
My life in dire straits
Would be
Without the traits
You offer me
Oh sweet Chocolate
Thee

My Little Piece of Heaven

There is just
something about you
I am in lust
And only for you
I am finding it impossible
to stay away
Highly improbable
Anything would keep me at bay
I lost you
Luckily
I found you

My little bit of Heaven
By sweet sweet
I am up to seven
My one and only treat
My sweet chocolate bar
In a serial package
You didn’t venture too far
When I was tracking

“To have my cake and eat it too?… hm… eat it!”
Chocolate Cake
It’s just a cake
Nothing fake
Some sugar and spice
All the things nice
And do not forget
The best ingredient
What is it?
What else for a ‘holic
But dark chocolate

Throwback Thursday
On Thursdays we walk down memory lane and dig deeply into the archives of Rantings Of A Third Kind. For these posts, I have chosen some of my personal favourites. Some of them may tickle the funny bone, some even provoke thoughts and some of them will give you a view of the world in photographs taken by yours truly.
This week’s Throwback Thursday is dedicated to Chocolate.
What was the question? Who cares, the answer is Chocolate!
Enjoy!

Mundane Monday
“I have always been caught by the pull of the unremarkable, by the easily missed, infinitely nourishing beauty of the mundane.” Tana French, Broken Harbour
Monday, Bloody Mundane Monday!
Just another Monday
That’s after Sunday
I wish it was Friday
Or at least Thursday
Much closer to Saturday
The one true fun-day
Oh, I kind of lost track on Tuesday
And also Wednesday,
Known as little Saturday
So I know my weekdays
But one fact remains
I really do hate Mondays!!!

Just Eat It!
Tomatoes and eggs on your plate
No time to contemplate
Just eat it, just eat!
Don’t you make me repeat it!
This is not a debate
Or question of your weight
Just eat it, just eat!
Don’t you make me repeat it!
It’s healthy and great
Better clean up your plate
Just eat it, just eat!
Don’t you make me repeat it!
Well, I did, three times:
So eat it!

Definitely not Monochrome
Call me dull
A total null
Even a drone
But never ever
Call me monochrome

Mirror, mirror on the wall
Please make me look very tall

Peekaboo
Behind the shades
Before the sunlight fades
Peekaboo!
I see you!
