Mundane Monday

off-the-wall

“I have always been caught by the pull of the unremarkable, by the easily missed, infinitely nourishing beauty of the mundane.” Tana French, Broken Harbour

Off /On the Wall

Living in my little box
Canny as a big fox
Hanging from these old rocks
This is were I keep my clocks
And where all the cool kids flock

Nightly Shadows

When the lights are turned on
Odd reflections
Life’s projections
Or an unidentified phenomenon

Reflections (SL-WEEK 44)

true-or-reflection

“Once I’ve taken photographs, I look at them, and I get into them, and I’m there for the moment – and then that’s it. I find little time for reflection” Pattie Boyd

Truth or Reflection

Just an illusion
Causing much confusion
Which one is the truth
And which is the reflection?
Or are they both perfection
In a mind’s eye?

Glass Wall Reflections

Blue skies
Blue waters
Blue reflections
Blue feelings?
Nah:
They are just reflections
Glass wall projections
Real life is more colourful
And now,
Feeling more powerful

Nightly Reflections

Scary darkness surrounding
My heart is wildly pounding
The waves in the distant sounding
A flicker of light in the distance
Easing my earlier resistance
Now walking towards the pier
Mind still filled with fear
Behind me, dragging my gear
Finally arriving at my destination
Looking at the dark water with hesitation
Chewing my thumb
But the time has come…
To dive in

Water’s Reflections

The day could not be more hotter
Time to dip in to the cool blue water
And soon, you will feel like an otter

Wine Shaded Reflections

Ho, Ho, Ho,
And A Bottle Of Wine
Set it on the table top
Open the cork will pop
Soon enough happily
We all shall shine!

Can you spot the Star?

Wishing upon a star
Give me a really fast car
So I can get to the nearest bar

Sunset

A halo around the sun
Or a phaser set on stun?
Do you get the pun?
