Cafe side seat

“Seat at a cafe, there is so much to see, just down and start watching” Gun Roswell

Cafe side seat

Whether the weather allows
Take a seat, please, sit down
The cafe is just snug enough
For the two of us
Order something long lasting to drink
A coffee, and maybe even a doughnut to sink
Into the drink and then your mouth
And after the hardy snack
It is time to start on the people scout
Without prejudice, carefully watch
Each and everyone as they hop and scotch
Pass you by, like they were on the fly
Notice the details, the quirks
And then, dig deeper with your search
Each and everyone more unique
Never mind the looks or physics
They are all a work of art
To be realized sooner or later with a bark
The humans and animals of this place
Make up what we call some kind of race
But on this Sunday in this seat
For me, myself, observing them is totally neat

Seat and the Red

“A perfect seat, for this ass totally in defeat, and now, I will enjoy, my Sunday” Gun Roswell

Seat and the Red

I was looking for
A bench to sit on
What I hoped to score
Something close to a lawn
To lay my tired self
On a softer shelf

Then I saw it
The bench, made of stone
When I tried to sit
I felt it to my bones
Too hard for a fit!

Moving forward
I found one, made of wood
Maybe it wasn’t hard
Rather suitably good
Too soft for a fit!

So once again
I had to complain
But I knew, the right seat
Was just in reach
I just had to seek

A little while longer
As I moved along
The feeling now stronger
I knew it wouldn’t be long
I was close to finding
As I saw the metal shining

I finally found it
A bench made of metal
For me to sit
Soft as a petal
A purr-fect fit

Seated under the shade

“Just because, it’s a seat”

1

Seated under the shade

A stroll in the heat of the hottest of summer
Looking, searching, for that perfect place to recover
Taverns and restaurants, all of them are beckoning
A soothing and cold drink, for this utter thirst for lessening

But alas, there is only one place ahead
The one, in the nicest of shades
And there is where I will spend
The rest of this day, until the end

Old Town Respite

“Because it is a seat”

Old Town Respite

Sit down, slowly
Have a rest, boldly
In the old town, it’s the best
No need, for any kind of stress

After all, it’s Sunday, the time for less

Sunny side on the Bench

“When I was a kid, the only way I saw movies was from the back seat of my family’s car at the drive-in” Forest Whitaker

Sunny Side on the Bench

On the sunny side of the bench
No option of getting drenched

Enjoying the long, warming rays
In these unworried and lazy days

Before the days are done
Soaking in the healing sun

With closed eyes this moment
Like an image in my mind burnt

Green with envy

Opposite sits the other, green
Envy, hate, anger, never saying one word
Flowers in pots, soothing atmosphere

“A long afternoon on a hard seat” Gun Roswell

Sunday Afternoon

Waiting, never ending, on Sunday
Midday sun, a bus stop, empty seats
Several hours later, no ride

A Seat in Cyprus

A single seat?
Or one designed for two?
In this heat
Who could want to be glued
To someone else’s skin
With clothes this thin

Seat in the Rain

Night falls
Time stalls
Rain falls
Time towards
The home to hall
This bench
Was none too comfy
Anyways

Seat Concrete

Making, a comfy seat
From a bench made out of concrete
May be, an experience too concrete
But never mind,
I will still, take a seat
