“The days are getting shorter, sunshine a scarce commodity” Gun Roswell

The evening falls
The sun is setting
Soon it is time to crawl
Into the bedding
But before that
Taking a few snaps
Of the setting sun
“The colours still remain vivid, even if they are soon to fade” Gun Roswell

Type, type, type
Work, work, work
Finally, a break
Looking out the window
The sun beckoning
Stepping outside
Half way through the door
Something hits me
Like a lightning
It’s cold outside now
It’s after all, October
Time to put a coat on
Stepping out, first step…
But wait!
Don’t forget the camera!
“Oh look, the sun is coming up! It’s not the sky falling on us after all, or something worse happening! Just a regular sunrise and here, in suburbia no less!” Gun Roswell
The longer you stand and stare
Into the bright whiteness of a glare
The red gets you and your surroundings into its control
Devouring the sky and maybe even you, whole
“Sometimes, the coolest places can be found just around the corner, even here, in suburbia, no matter the weather though, as it’s summer!” Gun Roswell

When visiting a neighbouring suburbia
You may end up getting a hernia
When trying some moments to snap
And into the skylights tap
Watch out for the heavy traffic
Or get yourself into something catastrophic
Run over the streets quickly
But keep that camera clicking
Presto and Voila!
Before you get to say ha!
Make sure all your body parts are there
If not, then someone might get a spare
So now, the tours have ended
And indeed, twas time well spent
“Something peculiar about the summer feel, as it seems, everything has gone totally green!” Gun Roswell
Green, is the front yard
Green, is the colour of the greeting card
Green, is the mind of this bard
Green, you cannot discard
Green, now also Red Rover
Green, like the four leaf clover
Green, is summer’s exposure
Green, is taking over
“A game of mini-golf? Well, why not?” Gun Roswell
Summer fun in the near by shopping centre
Bring your mom, dad and even the family spectre
Walk, hike or drive your car
It’s really not that very far
But heed this warning who ever you are:
Once the place of madness you enter
You may end up on a shopping bender
Give away your money and shirt
And later, with a big bill of hurt!
