A Snowy Seat for the Seasonal Sunday

“The best seat in the house, but it’s on the outside!” Gun Roswell

It may be cold outside
With lots of frosted snow
But as the sun comes from its hide
You need to take it slow
Take a seat for a while
Even if it’s not your style
And simply enjoy with a smile…

But, thank goodness: It’s almost summer now!???

Calm by the Seashore

“The snow has landed, literally and figuratively, even if this one here, resides on the sea” Gun Roswell

Oh the snow, the snow, the snow, it is everywhere!

No matter where your eyes land or you try to stare!

The glare of it all, when the sun is shining, which is rare, at least during the dark and long winter season hours, lasting for, well, the whole day!

There is no escape, as most of us Northeners now know, you know, from the snow?

Because wherever you just might go, for sure, there will be more snow there too.

As seen on TV, the planet in rather of a turmoil, because, of the, well oil?

So, try to enjoy the time, no matter how cold, wet or whatever other word you might think of, this seasonal cruelty, the Nature itself has directed towards us small humanoid types trying to play ball.

Then again, why not go to space? There is no ice there, right?

Early in the Winter’s Morn’

“Sometimes, it’s quite good to wake up too early, especially if the sun is up and shining, the snow fresh and glimmering brightly.” Gun Roswell

Early winter morning
Early, before the dawning
Fresh tracks in the powdery snow
Carefully found before the wind blows

The snowflakes frozen
Glazed against the window
Ski tracks on the ground
But not a soul to be found

The crescent moon
Present before noon
But not far behind
The sun with its shine

Rush Hour in Winter

“Riding to work in a horse driven sleigh, that is certainly a display, especially in the city centre!” Gun Roswell

it’s the early morning traffic
Which left its very first tracks
The snowy streets, filled with sleet
No good for bare feet
But a horse and a buggy
That is the way to travel snuggly!

It’s just Black and White colours

“The winter is filled with nothing but blacks and white colours, never mind the odours, as the flowers went with the fall rains!” Gun Roswell

Black and White
Yes, those are colours bright!
In the snow filled light
It’s simply Nature,
Shining, ever so bright

Winter – what a truly aching splinter!

“Winter came to the streets of suburbia, laying down a blanket of fluffy white snow in its wake.” Gun Roswell

Winter, winter
Gave me a splinter
Looking, at my finger
Let out, a whimper
Oh, what a stinker
Is this, snowy winter

Simply Red and then Buried

“They were fresh, at least for a while there, until the snow fell, then they got lost, buried until spring.” Gun Roswell

Red as were the berries
In the newly fallen snow
Got totally buried

Wintery Window View

“The nightly view from the window, with the reflected hues of the lights, shining through the darkness, against the snow and star lit skies“ Gun Roswell

The night upon, no sleep for the weary, so what to do while trying to stay strong?

Perhaps take a peek through the closed curtains, maybe there is something new?

Gasp! Sigh. What the F..ye?

Does my own eyes lie?

All that snow!

Oh boy, and a loud Doh!

Too much, of anything, good or bad is not really a thing of which a song would be proper of to sing.

Even with the holiday season approaching fast, this, this thing, the white fluffy stuff…

It’s way too much!
At least at this time of year, and I fear, it will stay there for a moment too long.

And then, the spring months are upon and still, the snow and cold there remain.

Like the naughty and dirty large stain.

And whom of this all can we blame?

Ourselves I guess, for causing this overall change.

Snow Ahoy!

“So, it’s winter time again huh?” Gun Roswell

In Winter’s Shadow

“The spring sun, came out for some fun and brought up, tall shadows” Gun Roswell

As the spring time approaches
It’s time to dim down the torches
The sun getting so high
Up in the bright blue sky
It is so unusual and unexpected
Almost as if everyone somehow neglected
Is the brightness and lightness of it all
Because ever since the time of fall
Darkness was all these creatures would know
But now, as the warmth and sunshine descends
Over the land, minds and souls start to reflect
All those happy thoughts one could do
When the nature and mankind alike
Start their journey out of the blue
Stepping into the now blinding light
Shedding their winter gear just out of spite
For, spring, followed by summer
Can never be, a total down letting bummer
