Driving Barefoot
A wrong set of sandals
Almost ended up in a scandal
While navigating in my car
Didn’t get very far
When I needed to change gears
Nearly caught by fear
When the footwear started to malfunction
Quickly driving to the nearest junction
Luckily getting there in one piece
But it wasn’t with ease
My heart caught in my throat
I swore myself this oath
I don’t want to be
Another flip flop fatality
Next time I will choose
More appropriate shoes
The rest of the way
In kind of a sway
And totally striving
As I was driving
Barefoot
Rantings Of A Third Kind 
I drive barefoot quite often, keeping flip flops under my seat for when I exit the vehicle

lol…the brake pedal broke once while I was barefoot…that darn thing hurt!!!

Be careful about the flip flops in the floor drivers side. If you stop suddenly, they can slip forward and lodge under the accelerator. I have no first hand knowledge, but I was told that that had happened to someone. Sounds possible. I place my sandals on the passenger side.

I try but I’m definitely a scary cat 🐱. Every time I try I get worried I won’t be able to react properly and I put my shoes back on! Yeesh!
