Step onto the icy creek

“Winter has taken over the land, the water and the trees“ Gun Roswell

Step onto the icy creek

The fluffy white scene when stepping out the door, into the nature around, the forest soon to be found, the same stuff all over hanging like fluff, as if glued by tiny hands, each strand, sticking onto the surface where it did land.

Even the eternal running waters, the creek, just near the border, is frozen over, solid ice covering the once nice sound of music there would play, as the pouring liquids hit the small rocks and whatever else was on their way.

But no worries, slap on a pair, of skates if you prefer and then slide across the frozen surface, pretend you are a prince or princess or whatever else you may just want to be, as in this gorgeous sugary winter’s scene, you can be all those things.

Frozen creek in winter

“The winter weather is pretty cold so it totally freezes everything solid the moment it comes around” Gun Roswell

Frozen creek in winter

The winter is taking over, all of nature, the birds, the bees, the trees even the clovers, but that is the design of nature, and you cannot throw against it any hatred, as the cycle is as it’s always been, the warmth followed by ever more cooling temperatures, and now, it is the time of total sub zeros, for a while at least, but this is not the beast to tackle rather let it crackle it’s way, creating frozen moments, monuments even, for whatever reason, maybe simply for us dwellers to enjoy and take those moments, skating along the bed of the creek, as the waters have turned to a sleek mirror of ice, something cool and nice, which is only possible during the time of winter at its coldest, when at its boldest. So, perhaps give a chance to the winter after all, even through the cold, simply dress up warm and you will be safe, for those wintery games, taking some pride with a smile of this gorgeous season, as it much like the others are here for a reason.

Cross the frozen stream to get to the other side

“The weather had finally turned from the dreary damp darkness of the fall to the long over due and now perfect crisp frozen calm of the winter’s balm” Gun Roswell

Cross the frozen stream to get to the other side

The day emerging from beyond the moon and the stars, not quite the warm and expected as the day before, rather the cold and calm and frozen air, beating the face now in despair as as soon as door to the outside is opened, but that is no reason to stop hoping, that despite the snippy feel of the outdoors, something nice and gorgeous waits there to be explored, out there in the snow filled forest.

But, the first step to conquer before getting too the actual price, and to the something wonderful and nice, is to cross the river wide, which was only yesterday flowing wild with pride. But a nice surprise waited the traveller when reaching the site, as the flowing waters no longer taunting and snide, as all of it was now frozen to a solid surface, the wonders of this season and from Mother Nature, not a hater of any wanderer ready to make their way to the wintery scene, to admire the newly made formations of snow and ice, the sculpture like features and other kinds of creatures now roaming about the winter’s palace just beyond the frozen stream, for the travellers daring at reach.

Cross over the frozen creek

“Playing hopscotch around the frozen creek? That is, if you fun games for the winter seek!” Gun Roswell

Cross over the frozen creek

The now solid frozen waters off the creek, once too deep to cross over, now proving to be a work of sustaining any kind of leap, faith or even a footfall placed on the very ice, once flowing freely. The watery way, which could easily have lead you to stray, now reminiscent of solid ground, rare, surely, to be found. But, nevertheless, there, the ice rests, at least while the winter lasts with subzero temperatures to pass and during this time, the crossing is made so easy, that even making pie would not top it, so whatever or whichever way you want to do, hopscotch or simple jump, to the other side.

Down the creek
For treasure we seek
How clear and crispy
The water runs freely

Enjoy it now
Sooner or later
It may turn brown
Don’t be a hesitater!
