The Spotlight Seat

The seat in the shadows, in a silent and secure spot, supposedly, away from prying eyes, from the many gazes of those whom might thing, taking a respite, is proof of lazy, that anyone wanting to simply sit for a while, letting all others pass by, is something, totally wild and should never be done?

But how wrong are they? As even if for a moment, legs up, butt down you may stay, in that one secure spot chosen for a moment, perhaps, if lucky enough, for a day? As sometimes, taking some time off from it all, as time will never stall, no matter how badly you may want it, it’s a piece of shit, time that is, and never lets you forget, who it is in charge.

So, before those stalkers around, will let you forget, that they are always there, always vigilant and watching, just, close your eyes, never mind the spices, enjoy the little while, in the spotlight of a seat, ignore the heated gazes of the rest of them, and simply concentrate, on the special moment,  for the short spell.

Take a seat in the snow if you dare

The beachside stroll, not so easy, during the winter time, no matter if the sun is shining, because the snow, has taken over the world!

So, for those, daring to venture to the outside, even the seaside, none too open nor wide, during this seasonal time, the benches beckoning to take a load off after a long walk.

But, what will said traveller there find, if nothing but endless piles… yes you guessed it, snow!

Still, either take seat if you dare or then, find a friendly person with a shovel, remove the snow, and voila! A more comfy seat is revealed from the beneath.

Sitting in the sun, even in minus degrees, can be fun!

Take a load off in the snow

Snow, snow, snow, a lot of it all over

But if you don’t mind a little bit of cold

Then perhaps, a seat covered with snow

Is just that perfect spot

For you to take a load off?

Simply remember to dress up accordingly

As the cold weather might just become a displeasure

The dampness of it seeping through

Loose pants, if you did not remember to dress up accordingly

But if you did, then just take that seat

And enjoy your day, in the, well, snowy haze!

“Sitting in the cooling shade, even if I’m going to be late, from Sunday” Gun Roswell 

Seated in the shade on a sunny day

The sunshine on a Sunday is always great, but then again, when it gets too hot, then it’s no longer so, and the best place to rest, or at least have a respite, is under the shade on a seat made for that special place. And so, the whole day, might just be well spent, seated under the protective shade avoiding all movement at all, but mostly, avoiding the brightly lit sun and the encompassing heat, and ain’t that simply neat. 

But if such a seat might not be found, anywhere even if looking around and everywhere, there is still no scare as daring, into the sunny outside, can also be very nice, at least for a short while, until the heat starts to defeat one and that will soon be 5he end of fun, and the option remaining is to simply run and to quickly find, a spot outside of the sunny shine, preferably in a shady spot, well, then the day would continue smoothly once again, and the rest of the day could be spent, in the calming shade.

The seaside beckoned, as the weary traveller reckoned, it was time for a break from the daily grind and so, to find a good place for a day or two to hide, was now on the agenda of things to do, and this time there was no time to lose, getting there a must, to shed the daily dust.

So, after some thinking, the perfect place was sinking in, as the pictures of a cool and calm blue place, where harmony permanently stays, came into view and then there really as nothing more of the very facts to chew, expect to pic and choose, for the time to embark.

After a few moments spent on the trails, the place, exactly the same as the picture did indicate, was in view, nothing amiss, the calming waves, the fluffy clouds against the blue skies, the warming sun in the face, definitely, this was the place.

And then to admire it all, on this sunny day filled with warmth, what better place to be at, enjoying all the vistas, than a restaurant, right by the pier, falling no fear, only to choose the perfect spot, midst the dark blue chairs on the dot, and taking the time, now off the clock.

Seat to the Concrete 

Painted in bright inviting colours, those seats, built onto the concrete floors, outdoors no less, and I must confess, it all looks really good, but sitting on that, well, guess there is doubt whether one should, as comfortable it is not, but if it is only a short stop, so, perhaps it will all work, as not all seats need to be as soft, because the lay over is only for a while, before continuing moving along, the trip, not even the long.

Across the Street

Across the street 

The red bench totally beckoned for the traveler to take a step across the street and make themselves a seat out of the hand carved  reddish beat, but yeah it was totally screaming while beaming there, waiting for someone to take the step, closer to it, take a load off, and for a while sit, a perfect fit, for anyone appreciative of a bright and happy colour, spreading the aura all around of cheer, and those having taken the seat even for a while will most certainly leer long after the fact.

Seat sideways Sunday

The day long and sunny, some would say Sunday funny, but the warm weather so soon after a long while of cold and damp and grey, well, it got the better of this weary walker, on a simple Sunday stroll, taken just because, the weather was so nice and beckoning, thinking to be bold and so finally outside venturing, after all, these days, in the times of change, it was still a choice hard to be made, but not on this fined day, of a sunny and warm Sunday, but for a while, after taking the long tour instead and in a while, having a respite along side, was something totally needed and never mind, the passersby, looking at what the lazy one was doing, but not caring a single bit as there was no hurry to do more than just be and enjoy, the day of free, on this quiet and long day, and so, in place for a moment longer staying, before pushing on, showing everyone, this one was still strong after all.
