Saturdays, what a total waste

“It’s another Saturday again, so yeah, where did the time go?” Gun Roswell

Saturdays, what a total waste

The day supposedly to be a day of leisure, something to have as a recharge from the grind of the week, alas the home work awaiting, never lets off its grip, always on the back burner, always reminding of the never ending chores, never a moment to relax, even if exhaustion has taken its permanent place in the mind of this one, speaking, always freaking about it all, never finding peace, no matter how much sleep is put in after having list so much during the week, but soon the Sunday is there, Monday following suit and then the circle is complete, another weekend wasted, while doing nothing but thinking, of the load still pending and piling up realty, really fast, the only thing which really lasts, are the tasks never ending.

The cat and the faucet

”Cats and water, do not mix? Well how about this?” Gun Roswell

The cat and the faucet

Water not the most favourite thing, of a proud cat who can with a meowing note forever sing, but when it comes to playtime around the kitchen, when others are busy cleaning and washing dishes, a furry feline will find, the perfect place and facet to fool around.

The running water of the tap, is as much annoying as a small dogs yap. The somewhat melodic drippety drip sounds, can be heard pretty much all around, the small house. But for the kitty cat of the premises, she will find it’s not a miss, rather a cool toy despite the annoyed looks on her feeders face.

And then, making the most fun of this newly found bliss, the small cat will make a fun play of it to last, until pretty much for an hour, no matter if someone else’s mood has gone sour for listening to the constant dropping of the waters now running down the drain, pretty much in vain. But that is a small price to be paid, for this precious kitty cats fun of play, as it is, the true master of us all 😉

The Lookout Cat

“Time spent with cats, is never wasted”

The Lookout Cat

The lookout cat, at her very post
Neatly and frozen, staying, in the exact same pose
In her current pray, she seems, totally engrossed
Or just maybe, she already had a feast and ate a roast
And now only digesting, is the utter and most
Task she is able, for the least this moment, to coast

“Five cats and a woman. That is all I need in life” Alejandro Jodorowsky

The tourist of a foreign land
Came here to our strand
We let them snap some photos
And for them, strike a few poses
Scratching our backs
There is no lack
Of many a treats
Neatly we sit
Until all the pix
Are snapped
And the strangers all gone
Then we, just run along

Cats of a foreign land
Sitting on a lava strand
Too hot to fish
Too hot for a stroll
Guess, the best bet is
To hang around the bowl
On this lazy sunny day
Nothing else to do but lay

The Girl and her Cat

“Cats are like music: It is foolish to try to explain their worth to those who do not appreciate them”

The Girl and her Cat

Would you look at that!
The girl with the cat
On the sofa, laying flat

No time to chase a rat
No time for a little chat
Not even an eyelid will bat

No time for the internet
Nothing playing on the cassette
Nothing moves, on the chess set

If you want to bet
The only comment you get
“What the heck,
Are you staring at!”

Cats, Dogs and a few Ladies

Cats, dogs and ladies
All live under the same roof
A gentle mix of meows and woofs
Added with some ifs, buts and maybes

A playful sparring match
For the appetite to catch
Before dinner time calls
And they arrive on all fours

What we can all agree upon
Is a comfortable seat to cuddle on
All gathering into the same spot
All together tight as a knot

A Caturday’s Tale

“There are many intelligent species in the universe. They are all owned by cats.”

A Caturday’s Tale

The cat hissed
Her tail totally frizzed
The witch loudly laughed
Stirring her brew with the wooden shaft

“Fear not, my furry kitten
It is not you who will be eaten
It is only the humans, who should be scared”
The witch said with an evil glare

For not many knew
Of the secret, reserved only for a few
The powers witches can share
For those really fair

So better be ware
Of all others take good care
A little something for the witches leave
Or you may end up in grief
