Blue and the Parasol

“Under the shining sun, beside the blue seas, my parasol and I, sleep” Gun Roswell

Blue and the Parasol

The sun”s shine beckoned with its shiny warmth
To come and lay down on the sand covered sea shore
Where the ever changing blues are the colours of all
And time itself has come to a complete and utter halt

When stepping into the bare and fine stand for the first time
I cannot help but to be amazed of the beauty and then crack a smile
Feeling so tiny in this place open and totally wide
As even the critters beside me are so completely kind

Side by side, me and natural inhabitants coexist
As the calming effect of the sea and the skies me enlist
The other side of the world no longer matters or exist
As me and my parasol have laid a claim this spot of pure bliss

From sunrise to sunset , myself I let
This gorgeous natural resort leave me with an effect
Of calm, unhurried, never too worried kind of specs
Who knows, I may stay here until the time of my final rest

Autumn sunrise

“There is nothing better in Autumn, than a calm Fall morning sunrise by the seashore” Gun Roswell

Autumn sunrise

In a hurry, just, like always, so also, this morning
Trying to beat the traffic and get to the seaside before the dawning
To watch, experience and really enjoy, a spectacle, specially arranged by mother nature
But I am so worried, I will be belated
Alas, as I suspected, the time is not, on my side
As I am trying, towards the goal, as fast as possible, to drive
But, since the other drivers, seem to have, the exact same agenda
I worry, that all this hurry, is only going to leave me in one big surrender
And soon enough, my fears are materialized, as all the cars, come, to a full stop
As if by some great plan, they all halt, right there on the dot
Is it a red light or some other type of strife, I wonder just then
Swearing, cussing, under my breath, hoping, wishing, not too much time to spend
In this state of suspension, my face, in a constant animation
Feelings rising, emotions getting spicy
And then, just as all hope had been cast out the window
The line of vehicles gradually start to move
From the rear view window, I can see the water flow
Closer, and closer I slowly like a snail approach
The sun, rising, the reddish glow, reminiscent of a torch
As I am finally reaching the spot, I quickly find the parking lot
Rushing out of the car, I am running, even if it’s not so far
The pier, where all the viewers are now
In awe, admiring the reflected glow
Of the sun rising in this Autumn morning
Could not have asked for a better view for this dawning

Autumn, Fall

“Autumn, Fall, what ever they may it call, it’s still gorgeous!” Gun Roswell

Autumn, Fall

In the middle, of the busiest of city centres
Lies a hidden treasure, an oasis, oh so totally splendid
Waters too, clear and very blue, just as the above fluffy clouded sky
The air, today, crisp and clean, with only a few small birds in flight
The bigger ones, such as ducks and even several swans
Make their own way, on the solid ground

But, soon enough, diving into the inviting waters
Frolicking, bathing, even playing, like sea otters
Which in this treasured pond, are not really, found
The odd passer by, giving, to the animals, all around
Treats of plenty, and then, remain watching, in complete awe
As the nature and the animals together a tableau worth a painting form
And for a passing moment, even time itself, completely stalls

Fluffy summers day

“Fluffy are the clouds and so is the mood, on this, hot summers day” Gun Roswell

Fluffy summers day

Sitting. at the end, of a long pier
Looking. at the clouds, as they appear
Changing, their very shapes, as they slowly drift away

The waters surface calm and blue
Perfectly matching, the sky’s hue
Feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin

Nothing moves, nothings stirs in this moment
It seems, as if the clock, has stopped, all movement
The birds and bees at flight, frozen in mid air

As I close my eyes, I still spy
The world around me, feelings of being free
On this warm and fluffy summers day

Friday comes, but once in a week!

“Thank goodness, it’s finally Friday, ’bout bloody time!” Gun Roswell

Friday comes, but once in a week!

Friday, at last, this week, could not have gone any faster
Faster, as I very well know, will this day end too
Too, and then “boohoo” I cry, but hey, that is just fine
Fine, as I know, there will be another Friday
Friday, which unfortunately only comes, one a week

Week, is such a dreary measure
Measure, like a year or even a hundred
Hundred, is the number of the percent
Percent, which I always give this day
Day, unlike so many others consists of hope
Hope, so hard to find these days
Days, gone by, but hopefully plenty ahead
Ahead, like the word hope, wish, what ever
Ever, I wish Friday here to stay
Stay, please stay, I totally pray
Pray, like you are a deity or something so great
Great, better than anything else
Else, is where I usually am
Am, exist, being, living, solely for Friday
Friday, oh how I love you
You, this, feeling which you can only bring
Bring little ol’ me, each and every week
Week, oh, were are back to this again
Again, and in circles I run until
Until I come to the end of this poem
Poem, so yeah, guess I have a thing for Fridays then!

Hey, it’s Friday, and there is a party, at my house, if you can find it, that is 😉

Summer, summer, where art thou summer?

“Summer, should be I think, as the calendar says, “July”, but why is it snowing?” Gun Roswell

Summer, summer, where art thou summer?

When the month of July is upon
You start, to really hard, to wonder on
As to where the summer has gone

It did not appear at all this year
And then you already start to fear
As the winter season slowly but surely grows near

It’s not so warm as you might have expected
But if you look close enough, you can something detect
A ray of light, on to the waters edge reflected

Maybe there is still hope after all
Before the coming of a complete fall
Despite the weather so gloomy and dulll
At least it’s not as freezing cold
Even if the weather forecast hail showed
And it’s above the freezing point or so

Summer in the month of July
Sometimes it’s good sometimes, just fine
But there is really no denying:
It could be worse, as we could have snow

Hoist the Sails I three

“Time for summer winds and sails” Gun Roswell

Hoist the Sails

Close to the mountains

Close enough to the seashore
As I try to some mountains score
That is simply, because
I really want a picture perfect to adore

So now, here I am, browsing
The sea line slowly drowsing
Hoping for that best of scenes
In my view point to achieve

Maybe not today, maybe not to tomorrow
But I know that even if I have to borrow
An image from some other land
I will get my mountain view as here I stand (or sail)

Hoist the Sails I two

“Time for summer winds and sails” Gun Roswell

Hoist the Sails

Alone at the seas

In the middle of nowhere
Nothing to see and nothing to guide her
The tiny vessel with a lonesome sail
You and her, looking mighty frail

Prayers and wishes are of no use
But turning back you totally refuse
Still running low on supplies and fuse
Wondering “what the hell am I to do?”

Then it gets darker, now that wasn’t smarter
Surely we are doomed, and it’s all ending too soon
Alas, a few dots of light, in the high skies
Suddenly appear, an all that shaking fear, will completely disappear

When steering by the northern star
The land can never be too far
And finding a safe harbor, not a huge labor
Any longer, and as closer you get, feeling of living another day, getting so much stronger

Hoist the Sails I one

“Time for summer winds and sails” Gun Roswell

Hoist the Sails

Near the coast line

When a total newbie by the sea
And all you want to do is to just flee
Then turn your head towards the gleam
Of the sun shining prettier than ever seen
Close your eyes for a moment please
Now wish upon the glittering beams
Of the reflections on the surface
Fe the yearning, your insides burning
The open your eyes, don’t you feel just fine?
And completely ready to the demands of the ocean comply?
Then set sail, never being afraid
Towards the future as you let the seaside you nurture

Morning Light

“Catch the sunrise in the early morning hours” Gun Roswell

Morning Light

In the early morning hours
Waking up to the smell of flours
And after taking my shower
I head on to the harbour

It is still quite dark
As my bicycle I park
But after having thought smart
I got to a head start

While everyone else was sleeping
Of the sunlight powerful dreaming
I got to see the vision so extreme
Of the early morning light pristine

The sun slowly ascending
Behind the waters edge sending
Chills down my spine, as so splendid
The reflections of the rays trending

What a view for the day
I wish that I could longer stay
But as I slowly walk away
I feel the warmth and light on every sway
