Shopping for Shoes

“Them shoes, them shoes! It is totally true – one can never have enough of shoes!” Gun Roswell

Shopping for Shoes

Shoes of all shapes and sizes, some for free or even for bargain prices, colours vary as do the heel height, but no matter, you will always fine the right fit, at least, that is the hope of the day finally here, the one dedicated for simply shopping for shoes!

And so, hitting all the possible stores, which carry these marvels of lore, them shoes, them shoes, win or lose, just have to choose.

The day long, but feeling quite strong, after a good nights sleep, somehow, as the dreams filled with all kinds of footwear and so daring and bold, getting a foothold (pun certainly intended) amongst the rush of all the other shoe fans, hitting the same places.

But no matter what, I have to trust, there will be a pair or two for me to find, in the wide ocean filled with shoes and those whom so desperately seek for the perfect ones, or twos, or more, as more is always more, no matter what any philosophically inclined person might state.

And so, before the day ends, I will keep on seeking, for them shoes, them shoes perfect for me, or then settle for something almost that!

Glitter and Glam

“It’s that time of the season, when glitter and glamour is all around for no good reason” Gun Roswell

Glitter and Glam

Stroll, slowly around
In this seasonal holy ground
In a great big shopping mall
Making you feel quite small
As you glare around in much awe
With a gaping dropped down jaw
All that glitter and all that glamour
Causing even the neighbour lady to yammer
Myself, I try not to stammer
As all the lights and decorations
Are causing some seasonal heart palpitation
Without really a good explanation
But at this point it really doesn’t matter the reason
Just enjoying and joining the celebration
For all of this only comes along once a year
So hop along the festive train without any fear

Day at the shopping mall

”A day on doing absolutely nothing but shopping” Gun Roswell

Day at the shopping mall

In the morning
Before dawning
The rain fell but it poured
Friday, what a dull day
It was going to be?

But then
A hopeful ray
Of sunshine on display
Maybe
It would be
A good day after all

A new avenue
Just ahead sprang forth
Going outside
Maybe even
To the shopping mall?

Packing into the car
Still the drive is not too far
Easily finding a spot
In the underground parking lot

A hop and a skip
On the escalator chic
Into the wonderous world
Of shopping I am hurled

Glimmer and shine
Spreading before my eyes
A lot of things
Useful and the again not
But so what
It’s the shopping mall
And I’m about to fall
Into the lure
Of total and pure
Shopping bliss
I mean who could resist!

Sunny Side Up

“Basking in the sun, lazily in this chair, when supposed to be, going to do some shopping” Gun Roswell

Sunny Side Up

When broken and tired of all the running around
So many shops and still, nothing to be found
The weather scorching, as is the heat
How I wish you could find one empty seat

Luckily or unluckily, the one to be seen
Is smack in the middle of a sunny type scene
The place so bright even the colours are fading
But since they are the only ones left, I will stop complaining

Hopping on to the cushions so inviting
Trying hard to ignore the offers quite exiting
But I feel still so totally spent
Not even those cute little things in the window will up me get

Panting finally subsiding
I am turning my face towards the sun so shining
Letting the rays of sun soak my sweat
I know, it sounds awful, but better than being drenched

After the moment has past and I feel lighter
I watch though the shop windows and get delighted
I can see something really nice i have for long wanted
And then, with a new spring in my step, I am inside invited

I shop and shop and shop until I drop
Then with all the bags accumulated for a moment I stop
Gazing at the still empty seat so comfortable
I know I need to sit down, before I continue my way home

Shoes on the Side

Posted in Daily Photo/Tales of Tiny

“You can never have too many pairs of shoes!”
Gun Roswell

Shoes on the Side

Shoes, are the essence of life
(it’s like breathing in and breathing out)

Shoes, will get you through a fight
(especially if you’re wearing stilettos)

Shoes, are never unkind
(unless you are breaking in a new pair! just remember to have band aid to spare!)

Shoes, will help you unwind
(those comfy old ones, you just did not dare to throw away)

Shoes, are always on my mind
(I wear them, I buy them, I store them, I admire them…)

Shoes, will alternately save mankind
(well it could not hurt if the world leaders talked about their new shiny shoes instead of all the nasty things that are going on, could it now!)

If you don’t have any shoes
Then snooze, you loose!

Elf off the Shelf

A Christmas elf
From the store shelf
No matter if October
And a long while until December
This hefty little thing
Joined the pumpkins
This Halloween
Have you ever seen

Scary Thing with Family

A scary little thing
Started to sing
Its little offspring
Joining with a ding

“Please ma’am
If you can
Take us home
So not alone
Will you be
On this eve
Of all hallows
If you don’t
Then what will follow
Is a scary thing”

And they continued to sing
So in my cart
Added, which was smart
And off home did I start
With the singing
Gang of pumpkins
