I’m not the biggest fan of B&W. I find them very one dimensional. The absence of color leaves out so much information. While I love that B&W emphasizes shape and form it doesn’t tell the whole story and for a writer, it’s all about the story of the photograph. Hope that comment doesn’t offend. Just my humble opinion.

Well, unfortunately, we cannot always please everyone every time 😉
I, myself LOVE black and white photography.
I still try to go back to the option as often as I can, despite the digital era.
I like the mystery left open for the viewers and to invite them to use their imagination, so that each individual can develop their own story behind the picture. After all, I am only the “painter”.
B/W photography is something I have done since I got my first camera some forty years ago. I have filmed in black and white and developed my photos in the lab. There is nothing more exiting, than eagerly awaiting for the image to emerge before my very eyes.
For me, shooting in black and white is still the “original” format, but that is just my humble opinion 😉
