Pubs and other types of establishments

“The streets are filled with patrons, wanting to take a load off in a some quaint and friendly bar, at last, when travelling?“ Gun Roswell

Pubs and other types of establishments

The time of the year, when travelling becomes the norm, well, at least during the times of before, where the weary travellers would ride, fly or well, walk, long distances to get to the place they had in their dreams sought. And all that work, well, it can easily leave a mere mortal beyond their known powers, meaning tired, thirsty and hungry and then the best answer is to have some rest, take a load of and maybe a bite to eat and a few drinks, so what better place than the nearest hole in the wall, before down on the streets from exhaustion they might fall.

So, why not take up on this good advice and head on to the nearest establishment and get yourself some nourishment, it will not only leave you revitalised and refreshed, but the local tender of the bar or store, will earn their keep and have a better sleep in the process as people from all around the world are in need of their services. But during these new times, it might not be as fine to travel all around, but with moderation, I am sure the balance can be found all around.

Old school still working though

“It might be old and busted, even rusted, but it still works just fine, so no need to throw away, am I right?” Gun Roswell

Old school still working though

The old and refurbished whatever it was in the past life, a four wheel drive nevertheless and to confess, some of its parts were cannibalised even from the bikes, not the motorised though, rather the peddling kind, but hey, as long as they all work together in somewhat of a harmony, it all just fine, as this new kind of a transport vessel has now been given new life, from those parts of the ones which came before it.

So, before you judge, this vessel by its cover, or rather the lack there of as it is kind of a hover of a roof on top and nothing much else, but when the heat of summer arrives, this kind of ride will do simply fine, as the air conditioning will always be there, especially when driving, well, somewhat faster than your average kind of a bike. So hop on, enjoy the old school feel of it and perhaps, you too can support this kind of self building, as it is, nature saving in the end.

Sunshine in the horizon after the storm

Greece, Evia Island

“There is always a ray of sunshine, after a long stormy night, at least, that is what some people say, in the midst of all the dismay“ Gun Roswell

Sunshine in the horizon after the storm

The storm had been roaring in the midst of the small valley for a long while now. The seas grey and ominous as were the skies and the dark clouds a permanent shroud, with thunder and lighting the only distraction from the otherwise dull and dreary existence, lasting as long as anyone even cared to remember.

But then, something was happening, all of a sudden, there in the distance. A glimpse of blue midst all the grey and dark hues. A ray of hope perhaps, but was it here to last, or just a teaser, before another bout of rain and storm was upon. No, it was not, as the longer the dwellers glared out there in the horizon, there was something else on the rising, as the more they glared, the brighter and clearer the skies became.

And soon enough, a glimmer of a bright light started moving all them dark clouds as the sun was emerging beyond the ridge, behind the tallest mountain, moving all the obstacles away, with the strong rays of hope now filling the once gloomy and hopeless skies.

Wednesday, with a few words

Sailing, into the blue, to cure, all, of my sad blues, unfortunately failing, now continued sailing away, in the blue, as it seems to be eternal, for us, chosen few.

Row, row, row your motorboat

“Nothing more frustrating than trying to row a motorised seaworthy vessel, a lot of resistance and even more hassle“ Gun Roswell

Row, row, row your motorboat

The weather grey and dull, feelings of soggy and null, but the one great thing about a grey day like this, something I would not want miss, for anything in the world, is to set a sea, towards the harsh waves to be hurled as it is totally unheard of, to go out to the waters edge, in bad weather rather best option is simply to stay in the comfort of your bed. But the road so far here to this pier has led, is telling me to go out there and have a totally fun filled day, out there without fail.

But, after riding along, the currents quite strong, the rains pounding over the bow, and somehow, the humidity getting inside of the engines normally fine. Soon enough sputter and coughing the only sounds heard, until the whole setup was done for it and totally died. So, the only option, as this dingy of a concoction, did not have any sails, was simply to cast the ores over the rails and then, gently row, row, row my way back home, and singing along, to that old song, the tune of the ditty, pretty and familiar as riding the calming waves back to shore.

for there is in London all that life can afford”

Naturally in the Natural History Museum of London

If, for whatever reason, you’ll find yourself in doubt
Then why not do something different, and then go and check out
The one great place, with lots of history
And be daring and then follow the whole story
Of where we all, once came from

“I never travel without my camera. One should always record ones steps if nothing else than for the future reference, especially during the days of change” Gun Roswell

London

On the busy streets of the City of London
There really is no time for boredom
The options are endless, and even if you spend less
You can find all that you seek, just within reach
Either do a quick walk to the down town of the city
Or hop on a bus, and drive along to watch the nitty-gritty
As this city, certainly has it all, packages small or tall

… Follow the precisely marked lines
And you’ll be simply fine
Eyes wide and totally open
You will be seeing more than hoping

And then, in the evening
You will be totally dreaming
Of the how much more
The following day has in store

Watching, over the rooftops
Looking for the hustle and bustle
Of the streets of London
And it seems, that in just a few hops
A few old and bold like castles
And perhaps a famous dungeon
Can be seen without much of an effort
So, just hop on a bus
Without too much fuss
For them all to experience…

… Never mind the sad or even the bad weather
As my skin is certainly made of thick kind of leather
A few raindrops will not be able to do any harm
And not even, a small rain filled storm
Will be able to keep me away
From this eternal, London type of a sway
