Standing Guard

“The one standing guard, watching over their estate, forever present” Gun Roswell

Standing Guard

Always there, always present, ever vigilant and alert, forever watching over those under their protection, and times passing do not change, the one single task, this one was for made.

But this was not always the case as in the very past, there was nobody there, watching over those  in peril, as times were hard and without the guard, they could not defend themselves from whatever was coming their way, and never really able their heads in rest lay.

Then, someone with courage stepped forth, making sure, that all of those living under their court, would be protected against whatever their way just might have been thrown, and in those times, as in modern times too, there were lots of culprits totally bad to fend against, which is kind of sad.

And so, from that point on, this on guardian, the watcher of the dwelling below, would stand tall, even in the after life, having become a monument during the cause of time, the job of the guard will never be done, keeping the eye on those under their protection, even if it were to be someone staying only for while.

Let there be light

London

“There is always light, at the end of every single road taken, long or short, does not matter as long as you believe it to be so“ Gun Roswell

Let there be light

The great leader had made a tall promise to all those, whom would want them to follow on the set road ahead, away from the ever looming darkness and into the eternal light, always shining so bright, and those wanting to hit on this very road, would always be basking in the eternal brightness of it all, never feeling any less or even the blues, always being on the side of the goodness, never wanting for more, as this was the very promise made and if the people wanted to score their place, then all that which was needed from them, was a simple promise, of always staying on the set path, never straying, or even, looking back, never giving into the slack rather always moving further, ever forward until finally seeing and being one with the light, no matter if sometimes a fright would be the companion, as the times while making the journey ahead, would not always make one smile, still, it was not as difficult of a trek to make, as this one was led by a great leader, always making sure nobody would be left behind or left to their own devices, rather becoming part of the whole, in body, mind and soul.

Red telephone boxes in the corner, waiting for your call

London, UK

“Phone home from your mobile when travelling, or if you don’t have one, then use the red telephone box to do so! Mom’s waiting!” Gun Roswell

Red telephone boxes in the corner, waiting for your call

When travelling, whether near or far, usually, the nice thing to do I send out an update to all your family, either text or call, or like the new age dictates, post a social media photo, but whatever else the method might be, somewhere around the corner in a big or small town, you can find, the old school telephone boxes, waiting for someone to make the call. After all, you’ll only need a coin, archaic I know, but then with that one you can call, mum, or anyone else, to let them know, you are there, in the big city, travelling, doing your thing. So, in case you lost the phone you were carrying along all along, or then simply the ability to use the modern tech as a thing placing a call, then do make use of the flying machine of the one odd doctor from television, as in this case it’s painted in red so the vision of it should be pretty clear. Find it, make the call, hey thanks that was pretty tall of you!

Pubs and other types of establishments

London, UK

“The streets are filled with patrons, wanting to take a load off in a some quaint and friendly bar, at last, when travelling?“ Gun Roswell

Pubs and other types of establishments

The time of the year, when travelling becomes the norm, well, at least during the times of before, where the weary travellers would ride, fly or well, walk, long distances to get to the place they had in their dreams sought. And all that work, well, it can easily leave a mere mortal beyond their known powers, meaning tired, thirsty and hungry and then the best answer is to have some rest, take a load of and maybe a bite to eat and a few drinks, so what better place than the nearest hole in the wall, before down on the streets from exhaustion they might fall.

So, why not take up on this good advice and head on to the nearest establishment and get yourself some nourishment, it will not only leave you revitalised and refreshed, but the local tender of the bar or store, will earn their keep and have a better sleep in the process as people from all around the world are in need of their services. But during these new times, it might not be as fine to travel all around, but with moderation, I am sure the balance can be found all around.

Light and shadow and a few monuments too

“There is light and there is darkness and in between them, a shadow lies“ Gun Roswell

Light and shadow and a few monuments too

The all human made monuments, standing tall, without any kind of torment
Not just in the brightest of day lights but also in the dankest of nights
But sometimes there are shadows in that specific area all in the grey light
And inside there those supposed inanimate objects of art will come to life
During a time when no one is watching, the monuments are totally glowing
With different kinds of bright, filling their shadowy void with so many lights
But this sight is not for mere mortals to see, but a special occasion indeed
Still, if you happen to be lucky enough and happen to stumble upon such
Then a privilege as such this is for you, as being one of the chosen few
To be able to see the enchanted dance, which has been going on since ancient past
And will only last for mere moments, in their shadowy hideout, ending without
A doubt in a great bang, which songs of the old minstrels sang, and dang
If you the wholesome spectacle did miss, but hey, no need to get pissed
As maybe one day you too, will find that shadowy tune, and then sparkle with
All that powerful and overwhelming colourful light, just between darkness and the light

“I never travel without my camera. One should always record ones steps if nothing else than for the future reference, especially during the days of change” Gun Roswell

London

On the busy streets of the City of London
There really is no time for boredom
The options are endless, and even if you spend less
You can find all that you seek, just within reach
Either do a quick walk to the down town of the city
Or hop on a bus, and drive along to watch the nitty-gritty
As this city, certainly has it all, packages small or tall

London

… Follow the precisely marked lines
And you’ll be simply fine
Eyes wide and totally open
You will be seeing more than hoping

And then, in the evening
You will be totally dreaming
Of the how much more
The following day has in store

Watching, over the rooftops
Looking for the hustle and bustle
Of the streets of London
And it seems, that in just a few hops
A few old and bold like castles
And perhaps a famous dungeon
Can be seen without much of an effort
So, just hop on a bus
Without too much fuss
For them all to experience…

London

… Never mind the sad or even the bad weather
As my skin is certainly made of thick kind of leather
A few raindrops will not be able to do any harm
And not even, a small rain filled storm
Will be able to keep me away
From this eternal, London type of a sway

Rain, rain, rain
But that dreaded and endless rain
Running down the very drain

But, around in the City of London
Without the feeling of any kind of boredom
As there are too many things to see
My little face, has finally lit up with a glee…
