Mundane Monday Monochrome

“The Monday, the one day, that can easily be spent, in the colour of Monochrome“ Gun Roswell

Mundane Monday Monochrome

The Monday mood, in grey as per usual, spending time, under the doorway open wide, an archway they say, as past most of them sway, clearly, the news, of this day, today, being a Monday, has not reach their busy minds, but here, regular like clockwork, the chime indicated, it was that time, the start for a week, for those whom something new seek, but the grey overtones, make the day rather bleak, and so, hiding under the archway, is the best bet at least.

But there is beauty in the monochromatic world too, even as seen from below an obstructed view with some kind of a Monday hating attitude, as the vivid shades of greys keep chaining with the time of the day, the lighting, the shadows and all the other whatnots, but most of all, hiding under the way of arching rock, ain’t too bad after the initial shock, as it will be only for the one day, the day of the week, nobody really admits, is the crappiest of them all, but hey, stay low, as tomorrow, will be another Tuesday again.

Coffee time again

“The coffee time? Well, it’s always time for coffee so I guess, time is coffee and coffee is time” Gun Roswell

Coffee time again

The time for coffee, is always there

Whether you are are perky or in despair

It does not matter if you are at home or working

There is always a cup of coffee there on the lurking

The time is now and now is the time for coffee

Whether someone else in frustration is huffing

A true coffee lover does not really care

If others in stop and totally do stare

Just because you are the one with the cup

It does not mean, that you should stop

Drinking that one fine substance in the universe

The tastes, even the odour is simply diverse

So, never put your gears to reverse

Just because someone said, coffee does not rule

And for that, you can say, they are a total fool

Because coffee does rule, your world, all the world

And should you to some other universe to be hurled

Remember to take plenty of coffee with you

And introduce it to the local dwellers, for sure

So, is there time for a cup of some coffee?

Indeed, there always is, time for another cup of coffee

Hey, it’s Monday, so it’s time for a lo-ooong coffee break!

“Coffee, the only sustenance devised which will save me from the dreaded Monday!“ Gun Roswell

Hey, it’s Monday, so it’s time for a lo-ooong coffee break!

The morning starting like any other, only it was not like most, as it was, the dreaded day of a doomsday Monday. So, the only option, was to make my precious morning concoction, as strong as it could possibly be, for you see, me, and the Monday, do not like each other very much. So, we both try to ignore each other, wherever possible, but that is not always the case. As you see sometimes, well, each and every week lately, we have had an obligatory meeting. Calling each other off the game, would sound totally lame to someone else, alas, me and the Monday have been on this sparring match of a sorts forever, and well, there is no sings of this to stop. Due to no fault of my own, ask anyone known, the Monday started this all. How you may ask? Well, simply by appearing into my very own life, out of nowhere, out of the blue, as it was there me for whatever reason to sue! So, from the very beginning we both hated each other and after a while of clashing, agreed to avoid one and other where possible. Alas, that is not the case these days anymore. So, holding on, to my concoction this early in the dawn, sipping from the litre of a cup, with a huff and a puff, I only dare to venture out there, to the awaiting, Mondays!

Monochrome Monday

“So, we meet again! My dearest, not! Monday! Why can’t you be gone already?” Gun Roswell

Monochrome Monday

Monochromatic
It’s really electric
Even with only a few colours
You can smell the odours
Of the world of greys
Where all the light
And even shadows stay

Monochromatic
Is the world often seen
But even the plain shades
From white to all the greys
The nuances are there
You just need to stare
And up they pop, in your face

Monochromatic
I am getting quite ecstatic
The dance of light
And the bass of shadow
Never me fail
Just letting it all go
The bright colours
Do not bother me anymore

Mundane Monday creeping in

“It’s always darkest, on a Monday” Gun Roswell

Mundane Monday creeping in

Looking out the window
Cannot find a rainbow
Closing all the curtains
Feelings of uncertain
The weather I cannot bend
But at least I can pretend
Turning on all
The colourful lights
In my mind
It is white and bright
At least before it’s time
To make my way outside
And face, the Mundane Monday

A few, then two, then, only one (mundane monday)

“I think you can find all the elements that you can find in great literature in mundane experiences” Harvey Pekar

twosome

A few, then two, then, only one

It started with a still quite a few
But then, there were only two
Until, finally remaining
A single, solemn one
Nothing was there, to be done
For the harsh time of Winter
Had finally, to this place, come

single

Mundane Monday Again

“It’s Monday again, Mundane Monday!” Gun Roswell

Mundane Monday Again

No matter if you are travelling or at home
There is always something mundane going on
During the first day of the week
You might not always really find what you seek
But look around what the world of mundane will bring
You may be surprised of the same old things
Look so much different depending of the mood or light
Some of them coming finally to life
There is art where you least expect it to be adored
Just grab your camera and a new attitude and go to explore
It may be Monday, that one specific day
We all love so much to hate, well, at least of it debate
Just call it the beginning of an interesting week to enjoy
Because Friday will get here sooner than you have time to shout:
“Ahoy!”

Mundane Monday in red

“Mundane Mondays are the best” Gun Roswell

Mundane Monday in red

When the mundane Monday raises its grey and dull head
Why not sprinkle some fun and colour up in the air instead
Maybe put some deep red on an old house
Otherwise sticking out like a sire louse

Even paint the barn door
In the colour most of us adore
And when completed all them upgraded and some leftover paint remains
Head on, to the garden and slap on a coat of smarting
Onto, the tiny windmill, always giving the chill, even warning
When the wind blows or then if it sometimes storms
So, now, definitely going strong
Simply because, red, has the perk on
This mundane Monday, not any more glum
But really starting to be fun!

Manic Monday

“It’s just another Manic Monday” The Bangles

Manic Monday?

Is this another Manic Monday?
Or just another January Fun-day?

It’s six o’clock already, but I need to drive steady. The roads are iced and if I drive too fast, I will get sliced. As usual, after the weekend, Monday follows and so does the mania and the panic. Rushing here and rushing there. A never ending story of this writer’s life. Or does it apply to everyone?

Just when I thought it was safe to say, it’s going to be a peaceful day, all hell breaks loose. So who cooked the goose this time? All was fine, for a moment at least, but someone unleashed the beast. And yet again, another fire to fight! Ah this poor girl’s plight.

Several hours later, when once again, I have turned into a hater, of Mondays, the sun has come out to play! I’m secretely hoping it is here to stay! I rush out, leaving my gloves and coat behind. Never mind! The air is much warmer now. After all, only minus degrees of two, so what have I got to loose!

Reaching the seashore, the sunrise to score. Enjoying a few seconds, because the sun beckoned and then… it hits me. The coldest of winds, blowing in my face. Oh how I really hate… Winter!

Monday, again

it is once again, monday
that ever hated day
when joe and jane average
turn to the weekly slaves
back to the coal mines and daily grind
only dreaming, of free time

so monday
why cant you stay away
we would forever
be grateful and avoid the fever
