The cracks and shadows in the snow

“The snow is soft and easily cracked, marks left behind to track.” Gun Roswell

The cracks and shadows in the snow

There are footfalls left behind on the soft surface of the newly fallen snow

Remaining there because it’s calm without the stormy winds blowing

And it looks like someone simply ran willy nilly back and forth

Without any kind of plan, a heading or location in their mind

Or the they were simply something perhaps lost trying to find

And thus leaving all these cool and interesting markings behind

For those onlookers getting a tad later to the outside

A riddle for sure to be solved, even in the midst of winter so cold

Snow and the very Calm Seaside

“The snow has landed, literally and figuratively, even if this one here, resides on the sea” Gun Roswell

Snow and the very Calm Seaside

Oh the snow, the snow, the snow, it is everywhere!

No matter where your eyes land or you try to stare!

The glare of it all, when the sun is shining, which is rare, at least during the dark and long winter season hours, lasting for, well, the whole day!

There is no escape, as most of us Northeners now know, you know, from the snow?

Because wherever you just might go, for sure, there will be more snow there too.

As seen on TV, the planet in rather of a turmoil, because, of the, well oil?

So, try to enjoy the time, no matter how cold, wet or whatever other word you might think of, this seasonal cruelty, the Nature itself has directed towards us small humanoid types trying to play ball.

Then again, why not go to space? There is no ice there, right?

The Moon in the Morning Sky

“There is a moon still up there in the skies, even if it is time for the sun to rise” Gun Roswell

The Moon in the Morning Sky

There is always some kind of a surprise, for us mere mortals when you look up there into the great skies. Sometimes, a star arises where you least expected it to, or then, perhaps some visitor from a far can be seen in their small ship running fast. But, I guess the more mundane stuff, such as the moon and the sun, can too be a lot of fun. Especially, when rising up in the early morning hours, the sky becoming red of as you might expect, from the great star, the sun soon to rise. But what do those still sleepy eyes then spy? Well, the moon of course, which still keeps on hanging up there, in the stratosphere, even if it was time for it to take a long nap for the day as the shiny ball of light was on their way to slay the day. Still, the two were up there both sharing the same stage, and it did not seem like either was going to take their bow and disappear, rather remaining there, letting us dwellers below watch in awe, as the two giants were sharing the centre stage together, without qualm.

Hurry to catch the train

“The early morning hours, seemed so endless, alas, time usually runs out and then, it’s running in a hurry outside and into the cold of winter to catch the transport to work, what a jerk, time can be!“ Gun Roswell

Hurry to catch the train

The early morning hours of a cold and snowy winter day, may leave you in dismay, as the time allotted for all the tasks, was suddenly long since passed, and finding yourself in a pickle of a hurry, to get yourself ready, to leave for the workplace to get the income so steady (or at least in your dreams that was the case) anyway, you soon find out that you need to hurry the hell up and half eaten breakfast soon discarded on the table remains when hurrying out the door is the play. Alas landing on the car frozen in space, not budging one inch even if so many promises were made. So tfw next best option is to get your semi frozen ass to the railway station and hope the hell those tracks ain’t frozen too, as there is really no option to sue a case of force major as it were, if the elements of nature have decided to hate you and stand against you getting on your way to work. So fingers crossed this same thing is happening to your boss too, as from this point on there really is nothing else but the option of totally failed in getting going to the designated place of business for all parties involved.

Winter sunrise in Suburbia without hurry

“January, what a cold hearted month thou art!” Gun Roswell

Winter sunrise in Suburbia without hurry

Peekaboo, through, the slight opened shutters, in the early morning hours, finding a nice surprise, in a form, of a pretty sunrise. The light alone blinding, yet somehow reminding, of a start of a new day. As the rays of light, dance on top the now snow covered grounds, which only a few days before, were dulled down with murky waters and total darkness, but, are now reflecting those earliest of rays, off of each and every surface, making a dance of it, with some splits.

With my steaming hot coffee mug beside me, I am admiring the view from the cozy inside, as the temperatures, despite, the sunny disposition in the skies, are still way below freezing your still sleepy derriere off, should you dare to venture to the quite inviting looking outside. But for now, there is no need, as the slow speed, of the winter months, has arrived with a loud thump, and sitting around without any kind of hurry, is a luxury, reserved only, for this special time of January.

Early autumn morning in Suburbia

“The sun is not rising, as it will soon be, a polar night ” Gun Roswell

Early autumn morning in Suburbia

Early, before the sunrise, alas today, it wasn’t going to smile
The cloud covered, grey and dark in coloured, low hanging skies
Were preparing, for the upon coming time, that of the polar nights

“But, it was just summer!”
Someone prompted like it was a bummer

“Yeah, and soon we will have snow”
The other piled on quickly in the other ones tow

“Quit yammering about the weather you two,
Because soon, it will be too dark and too cold
To even dare to step out from the home old!”
The third ones comment, surely shut their mouths

But whether the weather, was the topic or not
This time of the year, was always, welcomed with a scoff
As slumbering into darkness, was no way to get off

The difference at this time, between night and day
Was hardly visible, to the beady eyes now slain
By the blurred visions, from too long indoors staying

Only the cloudy and grey skies outside remained
And even those ones, who would like to complain
Had to admit, that it was cozy, inside their own domains

After all, this was a yearly thing in stall
For all those small dwellers, up the far north
Pending their time, before the coming of
Some other type of seasonal weather
But that was a topic, after this time, of fall

Pale Moon Rising (Daily Photo) One

I see the pale moon rising
Beyond the dark horizon
For some, it is a phenomena surprising
Some say, it is a time for an uprising
Time for organizing and mobilizing
Some just stare at the mesmerizing
Event of the day most tantalizing
For me, it’s the most tranquilizing
A moment most stabilizing
My soul, neutralizing
