“There are two seasons in Scotland: June and Winter”
Billy Connolly
Writers note: The same applies here in Finland 😉
Winter, Winter
Oh winter, winter
You are such a splinter
In our collective derrières
Oh winter winter
I am using my printer
Producing images of summer
Oh winter winter
The whitish tinter
Gets old really fast
Oh winter winter
Do I really sound bitter
Just kidding, I’ll get by 😉

BRRR but a great post.

Oh I loved Finland but then I visited in July when we had looooong sunny days.
I would love a teeny bit of your snow but I couldn’t cope with the constant lack of daylight!
Stay cheerful x

Oh it’s the same where I live, two seasons but our summer is in September – just the one month each year the rest wet, cold and cloudy. I like the poem.

Ha ha – we say the same thing for here in Michigan – two seasons … Summer and Winter. We had a very mild Fall and in late October it was in the 80s and that’s so unusual. In February of this year, we had temps in the 60s and that is our coldest month. The weather is very wacky these days –
yesterday a high of 40 – today it is in the 50s and pouring raining all day today. (Better than snow!)

Enough with the snow already! I am hoping we stay snow-and-ice-free for the rest of this year so I can get to 1,000 miles walked this year – crossing my fingers. I hate the snow – the cold is fine, you just bundle up, but no fan of snow (and I am a Canadian … Canadians are supposed to like the snow.) (Born in Canada and lived there til 10 years old, then moved to the States in 1966.)
