Silence for a Sunday

“The streets are empty, the neighbourhood is quiet, must be Sunday” Gun Roswell

Silence for a Sunday

The unthinkable, just happened
As I thought no more time indoors could I spend
Then a good sign from the weather gods
As the sun started shining above
The streets empty from anyone
Even if I could go out, I would be alone
In this times of trouble and fear
I still prefer to have some sunshine burning my ears
As I step out to the great unknown
From my now open front door
I am glad of this moment of silence opened
As all and everything in time have completely frozen
And outside of this solitary space of security
I once again dare to venture without any scrutiny
